Passport to freedom, of course.

The Verdant Malaclypse, lovingly referred to simply as The Verde, is the brain child of Lindsay Kirsch. A charismatic and highly intelligent man with a hedonistic streak running throughout his very soul, Kirsch created this grand ark with the sole purpose of engineering a "perpetual motion" system of flowing cash, good company and "delightful experiences".

A heavily modified supertanker, The Verde is a world class paradise housing all worldy pleasures. With the notion of "If you build it.." in mind, the ship was tinkered with to perfection, housing a casino, restraunt, "wild life preserve", hotel, club house and the grand hall as of this writing. There is more room for expansion, of course, as the man always looks to the future, however nothing of lively enough yield and opportunity seems to have arrisen. Even still, the massive ship is a living, breathing city unto itself, free of the constant troubles of the mainlands and ever on the move for best positioning of the season and market.

Casino: A high stakes casino, many vast fortunes and lives have been run to ruin in this place. Equally so, many have been built, reclaimed and furthered by the grace of lady luck. The casino keeps pace with technology, ever on the look out for new and better games, ways of running the place and safeguarding against cheats. There are also more traditional and intimate games and gaming rooms available, should the need or interests build, the Games Masters on board making it their pleasure and duty to know every game they possibly might and be capable of hosting and teaching as desired. Anything may be played and anything may be bet.

Restraunt: A world class restraunt, housing some of the worlds greatest chefs. As all may know, chefs are egotistic creatures, adventurous and always on the lookout for a challenge and usually approval. As such, these fine men and women find pleasure in their reign within the halls of this fine establishment. A premiere kitchen, only the best tools and choice items are selected and utilized by the greatest hands the world has to offer, in order to ensure the clientele receive only the best. More importantly, the customers' desire is law. Whatever they may wish to have, they will receive. In some instances, this may actually take some time, but so long as the money shows, their will be done.

"Wildlife/Nature Preserve": In another of the ex-Holds, is the Preserve. The Preserve is one-part nature walk and ten part savage garden. Housing many beings(most not sentient..some, well..), plantlife and other such things, the Preserve is actually a heavily connected to the Restraunt in a variety of ways. It functions as both fresh food storage and pre-dinner entertainment as some passengers may enjoy searching out their own "prey"..additionally, some of the more adventurous passengers may desire to go so far as to hunt and kill their meal. In which case, the house shall indulge and provide, as always.

Hotel: The Hotel resides within another of the modified Holds, though hotel is a highly ambiguous term within this context. The Hotel is a bonafide microcity unto itself, sprawling on and continuing up into the upper levels of the ship. A Hotel being a place intended for temporary stay, and as it is rare a passenger may be capable of staying long term, this term was deemed ideal for this greater end of the minor, seafaring metropolis category of the ship. Not only does the ship house passengers, but also smaller, additional ventures such as "small businesses" for any of a wide variety of "essentials", including lesser restraunts and dining establishments, tailors, other fashion based goods and a wider variety of other services. Naturally, there are also less savory establishments, goods and services available, including some which non-passengers occasionally may turn up in search of..in some instances, even being allowed a temporary visa to enact these transactions, if enough influence, currency or other potential sway is carried.

Club House: Pleasure, at its' finest. If it may please you, if it is possible, it will be so. The Club houses everything. Spa, gym, dance facilities, halls for parties, inumerable rooms for more intimate occasions and parties, the list may go on. The club staff is large and varied, all specifically chosen to liven any occasion and aid in any event. These men, women and all other form and sort of creature, all quite delightful to look at and aimed to appeal to any potential taste, aim to help, please and keep the customers/passengers happy and coming back.

Grand Hall: The Grand Hall is meant for a spectacle. Initially, Lindsay desired cockfight style underground brawls in the boiler room, a dark, hot, gritty affair with a vicious background for ambiance. The epitomy of manliness, a gruesome affair, the greatest possible show he thought to achieve. This was an early ideal and swiftly grew outward, gaining width exponentially and soon exploding in scope. (Though occasionally the original ideal does return to haunt and sweep him off his feet.) The Grand Hall is a vast chamber, capable of great change and housing anything possible and capable of entertaining. This Hall has given way to plays, music shows stretching from operatic to modern styles, orchestras and live action movies (on one occasion, a guest honestly requested this and was backed by a large crossection of the passengers. As such, all actors from a presently running hit show were gathered, given a short amount of time to prepare and set at it, giving the show of their lives as they acted out the entire movie to great effect on the audience. A standing ovation and an encoure was requested, and received..with less turnout, of course.). Occasionally, sports and athletic competitions may also occur, as well as more interactive shows for the guests to indulge in, though this is all less prominent. Fights, however, are given quite often, with ever changing rules and even occasionally featuring casualties..at times, requiring them. These events may, of course, be gambled upon at the casino. Bets between passengers are required to occur under the scrutiny of the casino staff as well, under variant circumstances.

The ship houses a very large staff, with various branches and categories, all of whom live within their own little bubble in another of the holds that bears no official name. The ship is heavily guarded by the Suits, the armed guard of The Verde and personal army of Kirsch, lead by a hulking bear named Voytek. All of the Suits are heavily skilled and handpicked for their abilities, each well versed in innumerable weapons and fighting styles, as to best handle any eventuality and capably handle any of the ships array of armament.

There is also, of course, an extensive Maid staff, led by the cheerful (interestingly enough, also a) bear, Arielle. The maid staff handles everything, generally from behind the scenes, though at times including entertainment of the guests. These delightful women...and yes, some men as well!...excel at keeping the ship running for the guests, generally as far out of sight as possible to maintain the appearance of perfection. They are, however, highly trained and may at times be required to stand in for other services. Some have even been known to operate as Suits, occasionally, much less Club staff. The standard attire of the Maid staff..the few you may witness...is not so unalike with that of a french maid.

This is the bare summary of the ship and staff of immediate note to any passenger, especially participants in the tournament presently running as the latest spectacle to grace The Grand Hall. These participants are given a free ride, with some limitations, for the duration of the contest.

As for all other guests, may they find what suits them...so long as the money shows.

OOC notes: The ship is highly expensive in every way, the other passengers are excessively rich, potentially ingenius in some instances (how else would some acquire such riches?) and seek entertainment or may be snooty, etc. If flying in via machine(?), there would be landing pads, if sailing in there is a dock setup on the end of the ship. The ship itself is anchored at a spot east of the Mobian Jungle and a little south-west of the landmass a little north there.

If you are not a contestant in the tournament, you'll be needing to pay money a lot(which is to say utilize funds, anyway, it'd probably be primarily cards and accounts and stuff, physical money probably even frowned upon a bit). It's imaginary money I guess but maybe have some logical or historical reasoning behind your pocketfulls, otherwise your character will not be entitled to be present on the ship/watch in person.

I would also like to request that the ship be a low violence zone, not unalike with Nic and Nacks' shop, storyline and tournament based events aside. Which is to say, no attacking the ship unless storyline builds to such a point, no fighting there just to fight there, so on. It's a ship, so..collateral damage, especially on the scale that is kind of usual, could be entirely too disasterous and also the Suits would be present. ((..though they'd probably just serve to ensure the safety of any non-combatants.))

And naturally, characters actually developed for use on the ship...staff, guests, so on...are appreciated, though I would like such things run by me so I can make sure it all fits together, that everyone else is aware of it and correct anything that may be an issue or the other party may not have been aware of..um..and so on.

UNFORTUNATELY, Voytek is presently taken and Arielle are unavailable.

In the event of applications, proposals or questions, feel free to post here or AIM me at TsukishiroYue . In the event of applications, I'd like them posed and discussed over AIM first..once solidified, we can set them here for posterity.

Even though the words in the thread are very clear, for further emphasis, only contestants are allowed on the ship for their fight, and only the fighters. Winners of fights are allowed to attend and continue to mingle while the matches on the boat continue.

Minimum amount of pretend money to establish an account and entry onto the boat: 1,000,000,000 Mobiums. More is very often the case. In fact, people who just barely cover their entry are victims of upturned noses.

Likely to be deleted, and edited by Eric, however, repeating myself is getting old.

I would say the minimum is in the millions, but for the sake of the contest that is going on and to protect the interest of the already established guests, whom would have been frequent visitors, the minimum is boosted to keep out the "riffraff". A safe time after the contest is concluded, the minimum would be lowered once more to an acceptable level. The wealthy patrons would just need be looking for a temporary sense of security in their little paradise island and Lindsay, as a good business man, would see that coming and provide.

In short, Pans' Billion cap stands but is only temporary and to last through the tournament. It's like how the Home Owners Association looks to protect their market value on their houses.
