In a nation still rocking from the Umbrella City incident, the United Nations meeting proved to be a volatile powderkeg, as the American Representive declared the official stance of 'full retaliation, with everything we've got'. Accused of being 'a warmongering, violent thug' by Ambassador James C. Swan, the meeting quickly devolved and a recess was called for cooler heads to prevail."
"In other news, at the Motel Bianca in Dallas, Texas a gruesome beginning has ended in a bittersweet victory as twenty children were dropped off at the local police station, after a mysterious cult abducted their parents and killed them. Details have been scarce, but our hearts and minds go with these children as a fund has been set aside for those who wish to donate to their welfare."
