Just as in the mundane world, animals populate the lives of people of the Hidden World. Some use them as familiars to keep them company or facilitate the casting of certain spells, others offer exotic beauty found only in fantasy, some as bizarre delicacies in certain circles.

But what if there was something hidden to even the hidden, a world bound so deep in secrecy its roots trace back to the dawn of life on Earth, long before humans ever even descended from the trees?

This is the secret life of pets.

(( This is to be a series of mini campaigns using only animal characters. Magical and fantasy animals are welcome, as are the mundane and non-magical sort! No shapeshifters or anthropomorphic animals. Pets of existing characters are also encouraged, as they work to unravel mysteries even their masters are ignorant to. ))

The dark wizard Kemmler conspired with many sinister forces. Among them, a spirit of creation and malice who was responsible for forging many of Kemmler's troops weapons and armor during world war one and two. It was a creature on a par with the Queens of Summer and Winter, though its malice was primarily focused on the Summer Court, its knight in particular who became its primary enemy. Thwarted by this knight time and again, the Spirit became more and more obsessed with destroying the knights world once and for all, before its greatest treasure was taken and it was sealed away.

Years passed. The Summer Knight in question took his experiences, decided to transform some of them into the medium of writing, making this spirit the primary enemy of his books in the form it favored most.

A great eye, lidless and wreathed in flame.

After countless years, it has finally returned.
