Life. The essence every breathing being emits into world. Living every day, one day at time. The days turn into months, as the months turn into years. Life ends when the eternal sands of time has finally reached it’s end. Leaving behind a legacy and memories of days past and allowing those who had been affected by your life to continue on through the harsh journey. Fragile. Easily changed, easily destroyed.

Pride. Self respect for oneself or home. Motivation that allows you to fight with all of your being for something you believe in, when another may not believe in. A strong feeling that can easily lead someone to victory and happiness, or destruction and despair. Strong and Firm yet easily blinded to the rest of the world outside of its domain.

Understanding. Distinguishing the many different aspects of the world around oneself. Accepting the differences and embracing the new and foreign experiences around oneself. A state of mind which clears the fog of confusion and brings enlightenment to ones life. Soothing. To be able to understand one another, is to understand peace and acceptance.

Live life to the fullest. Respect yourself and those around you. Be understanding and accept the differences in the world. The world accepts us living along its surface. We should do the same and accept each other.

Within a world ruled by Humans, Demons.. A world stricken by the pain of misunderstandings and hate. Humans fighting humans. demons fighting demons. Humans fighting demons. The overseers of world only able to regulate the issues to a certain extent. Angels over seeing humans while Devils oversaw the demons. Devils and Angels being of their own world, only allowed to interfere when situations had taken a turn for the worst and threatened to harm the world itself once the fighting had gotten to the point of such high masseurs. Though only centuries before the Angels and Devils where in a much similar dispute of their own.
Over the years, treaties where constructed and agreements were formed to help lower the chances of a massive war breaking loss upon the world. Each regions of the land formed leaderships. Both humans and Demons complied with one another and refrained from any unneeded disputes or arguments of any matters at hand. Though being civil, there were still a few who despised one another. The westerns lands being the first to be able to come to a reasonable understanding and learn to co-exist with one another. The eastern land, not being so fortunate, remained divided. Not only humans from demons, but humans from other humans and demons from other demons.
Long before the Kingdoms of Kaze and Kasai where formed, Smaller villages that later combined and formed the large kingdoms lied scattered out along the lands. Far and wide. Reaching as high as the north regions and as low as the south regions. Though the human villages where civil between each other, the occasional differences and arguments would break out into raids and fights.
Not only did the humans have these difficulties in the western lands, so did the demons that populated the land as well. The demons out numbering Humans at this time where uninterested in the human affairs. Not seeing them a threat, they allowed them to go about their lives as they pleased. If they wished to waste their short lives fighting over paddy things, so be it. The demons however fought amongst one another over land and races. The three main races of demons that occupied the land where Kitsunes, Wolves and Nekos.
The largest groups of demons where the Nekos. Reining in the Northern lands lived the White Tiger race. In the North lived the Black Tiger race and in the Northeast reined the Leopard race. Smaller tribes of Nekos lived throughout the regions, but amongst the rest, these three where the largest and in the midst of a power struggle. Each tribe prideful, neither one backing down from their beliefs nor their land. Over time the three tribes remained in their own respectful lands. Severely punishing those who dared stepping foot into their territory.

However. There was one who set out to correct the actions between the tribes. One who believed that no matter from what race or tribe you are from, we are all able to live together in the same land, under the same sun. To be able to unite the three sides and bring forth a peaceful land. An equal land.

Thus our story begins…

Within the northern lands, located deep within the snowy forest, a demon village lied tucked away. Within this village lived one of the three powerful tribes that lived in each of the regions. Populating the area would be the white tiger clan of the North. The once snowy land showing signs of complete defrosting as the on coming spring brought forth a break from the harsh weather till next year.

Along the outskirt of the hidden snow village, a figure could be seen making their way around the village. Bouncing with ever step they took, the bangs from their semi long white hair flowed back and forth. Strands of hair from their bangs hung covering the right eye. Long enough to cover the eye completely yet not as long as the rest of their hair. The left eye remaining clear of hair and giving complete sight of their eyes. Dressed in a the whitest of white Kimonos that seem to fit the season to a T. A pattern of off white flower petal decorated the surface of the fabric. Ever step they took seem to illustrate the movements of the petals falling to the ground around their feet. Checking on different post as they came to one and making their rounds as if they had been doing this pattern for years. Moving with quick strides and a focused expression along their face. Once reaching one of the larger house in the village, taking in a deep frustrated sigh before pushing open the door and making their way. Once the door was pushed open, a small group of people would turn their attention towards the newly added person in the room. The small group of people consistent of three others, one woman and two men. One man sitting on either side of the woman in a respectful manner as the woman sat with a smile written on her face.

“Ahh so you’ve finally came.” The woman’s voice broke the silence with a slight humor hidden in her tone. With a slight title of her head, her powder white ears twitched slightly as they caught the slightly sound as the newly summoned person took their seat before her on their knees. Placing their hands neatly on their lap as they made their self comfortable

“Well I can’t help but come when you call for me mother. What is this all about?” A second female voice arose from the newly arrived person. Her bangs continued to hang over her right eye as she focused her gaze upon her mother. Getting to the point of the matter, it seemed she was in no mood for the woman’s little games.

An amusing chuckle escaped the woman, lifting her hand up to cover her mouth to contain her laugher. Only to fail as the room filled with a small fit of laugher. Her powder white ears pointed back against her head from the laugher as she held her belly firmly in her hand as the other hand that was located in front of her mouth waved towards her. Waving off the comment as if it were the most amusing thing to her in the world. Her daughter simply rolled her eyes followed by a sigh as she waited for her mother to calm down.

“Oh please Nuriko! The way you act makes you seem as if you are older then I. Must you take everything so seriously? At this rate you’ll never find a husband.” A rather displeased snort escaped her daughter from the comment. Noticing the displacement from that comment simply by the look on her face along with the hairs on the ends of her ears standing on ends. Straightening herself up once again, clearing her throat before placing her hands neatly down against her lap.

“On to the real matter then.. I have an assignment for you. I need you to go out and find a person. Someone that has been.. Disrupting the balance of power here in the lands.” The woman’s stance became more serious as she spoke of the matter at hand. A hard expression crossed her face soon after as her hands gripped her lap tightly. “You are you travel to the to the north. This man’s name is Kamishiro. One of the black tiger demons that roam the lands. “

Nuriko’s ears twitched slightly to her words before arching an eyebrow towards her mother. A hint of curiosity and slight confusion crossed her mind. Shifting around on her knees a bit to better suit herself and prepare herself to stand up soon.

“Black tigers? They are at the same power hold as us white tigers. What has this man done to be hunted? It must have been something bad if we’re sending out one of our own to handle it.”

“He’s started to gather others up and started to form a village with these people. Outcast, runaways, you name it, he’s gathering them up into this village. We fear he might be gathering them to form some kind of rebellion against the higher up races. We just want to get the issue under control before it has the chance to spiral out of control.”

Staring towards her mother for a brief moment before glancing towards the other two men in the room. They stood only as guards for her mother and had nothing in importance to say to Nuriko, so they remained quiet. Though the expressions on their faces confirmed the seriousness of what her mother spoke of. Returning her gaze back to her mother, a heavy sigh escaped her as she pulled herself up off the floor. One foot planted against the ground in a kneeling position before lifting up off the ground completely. Dusting herself off for a brief moment, soon turning on her heels and making her exit from the room.

“Understood. Dead or Alive?” The question was asked without looking back towards her mother again, continuing to make her way towards the door. Closing her eyes slowly as she listened to her daughter making her exit, a smirk crossed her face as she nodded her head pleased with what was taking place.

“Whatever you see fit my dear. Just stop his plans.” With those words said, Nuriko left the house and made her way outside, preparing for her mission that was given to her. A soft chuckle escaped the woman as she remained in the same spot she was sitting in. The men around her glanced at each other for a moment before looking towards their chief tress.

“Izora-sama… Do you think it was wise to send Nuriko-sama after him? Would it not cause a clash between clans if she does indeed slay the man? Both are considered to be royalty from both clans. “ One of the men was brave enough to question the situation. Both feeling a bit unsure of the matter at hand. Izora remained quiet for a while, the smirk never leaving her face as her eyes remained closed. After awhile of awkward silence, her eyes would open once again to focus upon the door Nuriko had long since exit from.

“We shall see what happens. Knowing my daughter and her cold heartedness she will most likely end his life. Therefore, salving the problem. The leopards and the Black Tigers agree in this matter. This man is challenging all of our tribes. As the Black Tiger tribe sees it, he is not of their own anymore.” These words spoken with confidence, the smirk ever leaving her face.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Leaping from tree to tree at a steady pace. The white cloak tied around her neck flapped in the wind as her pace and speed never declining. Stopping along the branches of one of the larger trees, the white strands of her hair flowing out in front of her face. The cloak around her neck swayed out in front of her along with hair from suddenly stopping. Panting slightly as a stray bead of sweat trickled its way down along the side of her face.
It had been three days since she had left home. Along three days. Traveling none stop without stopping except for rest and finding source of food. Lifting her hand to side of her face to wipe away the sweat. This was the first time she had ever left her region. It was a new refreshing adventure, yet she wasn’t aware of how different the climate was down south versus the north. She had been informed of the different lands and heard stories, just never experienced it for herself. Sliding down along the tree truck carefully, barely making even the rough scraping sounds of her claws dragging down the trunk. Skipping along the ground once she reached the bottom the trunk. Looking around her surroundings for a brief moment before stepping out from under the tree.
The sun blazing in the sky through the tree branches above. The warm spring afternoon causing her to sweat even more than before. The cloaking being too much at this point, yet she didn’t want to remove it from around her neck. Walking a ways out in the forest area and admiring the scenery before her. The large trees filled with brimming leaves and hugged with moss around their trunks. Something you rarely got to see up north in the snowy regions of her home land. A soft smile passed her lips as her hand reached up to push a few strands of hair out of her face.
Walking along the forest path awhile till she came across a small stream. Eying the clear water flowing down river for a brief moment before kneeling down beside it. Dipping her fingers into the water for a brief moment before sub merging her hand into the water. The cool water felling alluring as the steady flow of the stream brushed against her hand. Leaning forward into the stream, brushing her lips against the surface and taking in a long much needed drink of cool water. A break was in order.
