Ed 8:28pm, April 11, 2011 [Edit] [Delete] | City Name: Philadelphia
Size: The size of modern day Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
Population: Approximately 1.4 million
Description:
Government - Constitutional Monarchy with the locally elected head of state acting as Seneschal and ultimate authority resting within the king if he so wishes to use it.
Classification - Largest city of the nation of Kaymakli. Major financial hub for region.
Territories - The former territories of Philadelphia have been dissolved. Most of the city is no longer divided between which gang controls which section, but rather reunited. There are only two exceptions to this. The first one is the walled off division which seperates the city's populated area from that which continues to be infested by ice zombies.
Zombies - As mentioned in the previous entry, there is only one section of the city which is physically separated from the rest of the city. Two years ago an ice zombie infestation swept through the city. The result was the collapse of the original government, many deaths, and the walling off of one third of the city. If there are still any survivors within this section of the city, referred to some locals as "The Kill Zone" or "Cold Zone", it is unknown. Here the buildings are in decay. There is no electricity, no water, no sewage. It is thought that the ice zombies hibernate during the warmer seasons, though this still does not put anyone else at ease. Occasionally, the brave or the stupid wander into the Kill Zone. Some go to loot whatever they can find, others try to hunt down the zombies. Occasionally, you find people who just manage to wander in without realizing it (yes, I know it's walled off, but when you're jumping walls to escape getting killed, you tend to loose track of where you are going.). Patrols set up by each of the eight gangs monitor the wall around the clock to ensure that should the zombies reawaken, they do not get past the boarder.
Gangs - The heads of most of the most powerful gangs in Philly have either been killed during the final liberation strike or arrested. Even those mid-level and lower level members have been arrested. Some, however, have survived. There are still many gangs within Philly, but for the most part they are now disorganized or scattered and are constantly being hunted by the newly reformed police.
