[Delete] | Alright, who can do Sept 19-26 for $100? I am looking for confirmations here. The house will be $100 per person for the week. Less if we have more than 8 people.
As soon as I feel I have enough people confirmed, I'll book it up. Don't post that you are going unless you are sure. This money is coming out of my own pocket in good faith of being paid back.

*ahem* I talked to Ray about this --him having already known what shennanigans may happen in Vegas with this group of people-- and he expressed a desire to come with. He can spot the $100 for himself. He's offering himself up as a tour guide (since he knows Vegas reletively well, and trust me. You'll need that.), a choufeur (So the rest of us can get smashed and not worry about driving), and a source of energy. When we want to sleep, he wants to go outside. Sometimes it pays to have a teacher on your side. I told him it would be a week long gathering of sci-fi nerds. So, he's all for it. In fact, he grinned.
So, in the end, Mike, you can put me down as a "Yes + 1".

[Delete] | Oh Dear God, I know where that house is. Well, not specifically THAT house, but the general area. I stayed at the Hilton for a week. The tram stops right at the building. From there, it's a 10-15 minute tram ride to the MGM. How do I know this? I stayed at the Hilton, and had to take the tram every day for a week to the MGM to work the World Market International Gift Show in 2008, then tear down the booth at the actual World Market building in 2009 (Which looks like a Sandcrawler).
I know it appears as though the Hilton isn't that far away when you look at the picture, but DO NOT LET IT FOOL YOU!!! I decided to walk from the Sahara to the Stratosphere thinking it wasn't that far. Two miles later..... Well, you get the idea.
Space is fucked up in Vegas. Nothing is close. Casinos are blocks wide and blocks lock, and there are always different streets being blocked off for road work.
Las Vegas will be a beautiful city...if they ever finish building it.

[Delete] | Two points of interest: 1) Ray tells me that he doesn't think he'll make enough money to have any real fun in Vegas, so he's backing out. I'm sorry that my + is now a -. :( If things change, I'll let you know.
2) God help me for this, but.... I'll be driving the 4 god-awful boring ass hours across the desert to Vegas, so we will have a car. It's a 4 door Toyota Corolla, and she looks like she's seen better days, but hey, it's something. I would rather fly the 30 minutes from Burbank to Vegas, but alas, we will need wheeled transportation of the motorized type.

[Delete] | And I will be driving, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be a designated driver (and sarina isn't too spiffy on handling cars in a lot of traffic either), but just for the day, if we're not drinking, we'll have another car (a nissan sentra... seats four-five).
ETA: Disregard. Car is broken forever... I'll be driving a pick-up, most likely. It's gonna be a fun ride!

[Delete] | I'm Fighting a lawsuit (I'm innocent) that may get expensive (I have $10 to my name right now), and the rack and pinion in my old car is giving out. Sadly, the odds of getting to Las Vegas are extremely slim. I never thought I would ever be sued, especially for something I'm not responsible for. :(
