Elayne Kavos Wins Election
Coruscant- In the historical election for Chief of State Elayne Kavos (Chandrila) came out on top after placing just third two months before. With the major scandal and numerous missteps by then front runner Valek Hornen, she was able to garner new supporters that put her over the top winning with 26.40% of the vote. The rest finished as follows:

Danni Montoya 6.85

Xanatos Tershin 5.54
Second of state will be Rassth Vantai of Ithor.
Hawke Karbn Commissioned
Tanos- The Hawke Karbn, prototype and flagship of the next generation of starships was officially commissioned in a small ceremony at the Tatooine Farpoint fleet Headquarters orbiting a gas giant in the Tanos system. The Karbn is the first of the Republic vessels to have been completely built with new materials such as Trinium and Naquadah and with new construction methods gained from Starfleet shipyards and R&D’s own research.
