A choice. As of today I , the CEO of Harkonnen Inc. already employ a good number of you in the melange refineries and water processing facilities. As you know Ive started a comprehensive recruit program across the galaxy and even more so have several groups ready for deployment. Now the population of this planet at any given time is roughly (insert number here) , now I propose removing the corrupt police force of Mos Eisley with Harkonnen Security Concepts independent security forces. This would eliminate the hutts influence over local matters of justice. However the choice is yours. If a majority of the planets population approves the action to do so...I will see to it that the current regime is removed peacefully. Impersonating Thomas Stryker 6:01pm, December 08, 2007 [Edit] [Delete]	That proposal seems ripe for abuse. The current "corrupt" police force we have now will not stand down without bloodshed. We will be facing a civil war for the sake of replacing the current, corrupt and poorly equipped police force with a well armed and trained private security force, provided and funded by a private corporation. This seems insane to me. Who will provide checks and balances to make sure the will of the people, and not the will of Harkonnen Inc will be enforced?

So instead of making two posts, I'll just put them together)) ---------------------- SHIN-RA Rufus Shin-Ra would appear to all subscribers of the Shin-Ra Holographic News Network I have come before you all to state the official stance of the Shin-Ra Electric Power Company on this issue. We will not condone nor resist the actions of Harkonnen Inc. as long as they are restricted only to areas not owned by our corporation, or do anything that will impair our business and, or, practices. If Harkonnen Inc. plans on doing either of those, Shin-Ra will assist the current regime and stop them in their tracks. That is all. ---------------------- GWAM Tiny Malfunction would appear to anyone watching the news, there is a group of decorated members of the GWAM behind him The GWAM considers itself a representative of the "Scum and Villainy" that this city is so well known for. As a representative it is our job to inform our kind of how we feel about situations such as the plans of a takeover by Harkonnen Inc. Their plan is to remove power that is currently being held by the Hutts. We are a volunteer militia composed mostly of smugglers, and mercenaries for hire. The means, when we aren't trying to protect this city, we are working for the Hutts. Any attempt to push our employers out of town by an outside force will be met by our ranks swiftly. The past has taught us well. Outside forces that try to "help" our city only bring pain and destruction, and we prefer to keep those kinds of things away from the citizens of Mos Eisley. Please, if you care about the men and women of this city, tell Harkonnen Inc. that you don't want them running your lives. goes back to the news room
