Breaking news here... We are getting reports of an attack on a shipment of weapons heading for the Mos Eisley Police Department. The attackers were a squad of Marines from the Outer Rim Republic. The shipment was secured by the brave officers of the Mos Eisley Police Department, ensuring that they can continue to fight for the safety of our great city. The freighter was able to get away just before ORMC backup arrived. However two officers and four ORR Marines were killed in the battle.

This afternoon, Outer Rim Republic Marines were dispatched to Mos Eisly to recover one Maira Seona, an ORR citizen and military dependent. They were attacked and killed by persons wearing MEPD uniforms. It is believed that these were not actually Mos Eisly police, but impostors. Maira Seona and Lillian Hayden are missing and presumed kidnapped. The ORR is conducting an investigation into the matter.

To clarify a point Ace made... The 'MEPD' on the E-Webs were killed by the ORR commander's weapon, not by the AM-30 the Enforcer carried on scene.

*THe News music plays as clips from around the city run. The camera turns on displaying the news anchors.*Breaking news tonight, from 5th and waters again. Renegade Detective Maxwell Alexander was shot during an apprehension attempt by Sergeant John Roberts. Eye witness accounts are sketchy and conflicting at the moment, but we have investigative reporter Tik Roppedope standing by with a report released by the Mos Eisley Police Department. Tik, how about that report? *The camera cuts to a Bothan standing outside the MEPD HQ.* Thank you Tammy. Police have released thier statement saying that Officer Alexander was shot by a weapon commonly used by the ORR. Eyewitness reports also say that Officer Roberts approached a man matching the description of a frequent patron of the cantina, a Zak Hayden. The Officer entered the cantina, spoke with the man and was then attacked by Detective Alexander, who then headed for the exit to the cantina. At this time, a shot was fired and the detective collapsed to the ground. In the commotion that followed, Officer Roberts was shot twice, once in the arm, and once in the leg by the same weapon that killed the Detective. Local Special Response Team Alpha, led by Captain Krim Kreech, arrived shortly after and restored order to the scene, arresting several wanted criminals. The ORR pilot is wanted for questioning and worth a 60,000 credit bounty. Officer Roberts has been reported in stable condition.*His voice becomes somber* Doctors at Mos Eisley Memorial hospital pronounced Detective Alexander dead on the drive to the hospital. Detective Alexander was a decorated Officer in the MEPD, his co-workers said he had become increasingly depressed and irrational as of late and was wanted for breaches in police protocal. This is Tik Roppedope from MEPD headquarters. *the Camera cus back to the anchors who begin giving the weekend weather brief.*
