Okay, so I've gotten several questions about the Elves, and how much oriental influence there is on their culture vs. traditional LOTR elves.

So, what I have here is a list of FAQs about how elves are here in Archades, so that you can better develop the character before submitting it.

Note: more will be added as more questions are asked that I notice are relevant.

Oriental names or Standard Fantasy Elven names?

Short Answer: Standard Fantasy Elven Names.

Why? Because these are still elves. We want to still keep the feel of the elves when playing them. If I wanted a straight out oriental culture, I would have banned elves altogether. But I didn't, I simply gave a unique twist to the elves to make it interesting. Thus, we stick with Elven Names.

Short answer: Stick with a gradient of Japanese style weaponry and Traditional Fantasy Elven weaponry.

Why? Because even though Oriental includes Chinese, I don't want the use of flimsy swords and people flying through the air in bamboo and off of twigs in the water and such. These are still ELVES! So, katana and wakizashi style swords are fine, but more often than not, it's going to have that elvish twist to it, alright? Thank you.
 What about Ninjas?

Short answer: NO.

Why? ELVES, people, ELVES! Elves are extremely proud and are the magical force of the world. So ninjas really aren't their forte. So, I repeat: NO NINJAS.
 How does the royalty work?

Short answer: Emperor and Empress. Period.

Why? There's no Shogun or any of that, there's no Warlord either. There's an Emperor and an Empress who run the nation, much like a King or Queen, but without having to appease the royal court the same way. The elves listen to their advisors, but they make their own decisions, and the word of their Emperor and Empress is law. A lot more dictatorial than one would expect of elves, but the elven people know their leaders to be Just, Sane, and do well by the people.
 Concubines?

Short Answer: NO.

Why? *see the 'why' answer to the Ninja's question* These are ELVES, people! While there is an Oriental INFLUENCE, there isn't an overall application of everything oriental, capiche?
Oriental Clothing/Architecture/Food, or traditional flowy Elven stuff?

Short answer: Oriental clothing/architecture/food with an elven influence on the design.

Why? Because this is where a lot the oriental influence takes place, in the design, the look, and feel of it. The other part is in the emotionless nature of the elves, and the culture, traditions, the way they eat... that's all very oriental in nature. So, yes: Oriental clothing/architecture/food with an elven twist. :)
