[Delete] | To add an avatar to your character: [Let it be known that you can add an individual picture for EACH of your character handles.]
1. Log in.
2. Adjust to the handle you want.
3. Click the box labeled "A" next to the typing box.
4. Press "ENTER".
5. A set of two blank boxes should appear underneath the typing box. Copy/Paste a url code to an image you want to use. I suggest using your own photo image hosting site to host your images. Otherwise they have a tendency to break.
6. Un-click the box labeled "A" next to the typing box.
7. Press "ENTER".
You're done! You can test your image now by just typing anything into the typing box.
To add a profile to your character:
1. Log in.
2. Adjust to the handle you want to add a profile for.
3. Click the "MEMBERS" link next to your character name along the bottom of the chat.
4. A series of options will be available for you to choose from. Click "EDIT PROFILE" if you want to edit your profile by typing in HTML code. (Or if you have something specifically coded already for your character, or want to link to a page you made on your website.) If you don't know HTML and still want to make a spiffy profile, click "EDIT PROFILE as HTMLAREA". This will open up an html area that you can type in information, edit colors, link to images, or just put in links, period. You can modify the background, and put in tables. When you're finished, just click "OK". It should save what you've done. To see how it looks, either post something in the room and click the link underneath your name as it shows up on the side of the board, or go to the "PROFILES" link in your "MEMBERS" area, and find your character name.
To change the font of color you're using: There is a small box located to the far left of the typing area. Copy/Paste a hexadecimal code of your choosing in that box. Voila! You're done. You can change it at any time. If you're not familiar with codes, there's a link next to the banner that says, "HEX CODES". Click here and it will take you to a site that has hundreds of color codes that you can peruse at your leisure.
To link multiple characters under the same user:
You play Germany, Latvia, and France? Don't want to switch between three screens/tabs playing three different characters? NO PROBLEM. To link multiple characters to ONE person, just make sure that the PASSWORD is the same for the characters you play. [For example: Germany, Latvia, and France are registered to me. I set the password of all three of them to "sufin4lief". When I log in with my OOC handle "Anita", which also has a password of "sufin4lief", I have a box appear that allows me to shuffle through my characters, and my OOC handle. The drop down menu appears in the smaller box as the bottom of the screen. With it, I can pick any character that I play, and start typing as that character. Make sure that you remember to press "ENTER" after typing what you want. And don't forget to change handles when you're wanting to type as a different character! But don't worry. If you accidentally type as Germany when you meant to type as France, just click the "UNDO button, which will undo your post in the room. Then you can retype (or just copy/paste) what you were going to say as France and press "ENTER".(This enables you to play multiple characters at once, if you so choose.) Likewise, you can customize each character to your whims, including a profile page, what color of font you're using for each, and avatars to suit each character. |
