Vaddi grew up among the turmoil of the Galactic Civil War. His teenage years and early twenties saw the Rebellion make their move and, eventually, destroy the Empire. Vaddi was a pilot in those days, and flew in the Battle of Yavin. He fought, again, in the Battle of Endor. Once the New Jedi Order began, Vaddi stepped forth and volunteered his services, always having believed in the Force thanks to his parents. He knew it was with him, and he knew he could do great things. He was trained as part of the very first attempt to rebuild the Order. He caught on quickly, and became a very skilled Jedi Knight.
He found taking a Padawan to be difficult. No one matched his vision quite as clearly as he hoped. He started to fear being too picky when he found Jacobi Ratha. He accepted the young boy into his teaching eagerly, and the two became a very close pair. They learned from each other and grew together.
During one mission, Vaddi was incapacitated by a powerful dark-sider, and he was helpless as the more powerful adversary stabbed Jacobi straight into his right arm, from the palm up the shaft of the arm. The boy was nearly destroyed, but the pain through the Force from Jacobi brought Vaddi back, and cleared his mind. He threw his saber, slaying the dark-sider. He then ushered Jacobi to the nearest medical ship. Despite the New Jedi Order allowing multiple Padawans per Master, Vaddi has yet to take on any additional students. He feels pressure to do so, and may yet.
Vaddi's proficiencies with the Force include a very high aptitude with Mind Tricks and speed. He is extremely skilled in being sneaky, often tricking those around him while even in plain sight.
