Record of History: Captain Mallox and his unit of Storm Commandos, tenatively calling themselves 'Mallox's Maddogs', have been a thorn in our side since the official end of the War. Records reveal his activities as a stormtrooper trace as far back as Endor, Hoth, and Dantooine. Inside information has him as only slightly less of a thorn in the sides of his commanders, but we've yet to find a way to exploit this.
Mallox's tactics are marked by creativity, determination, and a brutal tendancy of... well, suceeding against us. His men are disciplined, coordinated, and loyal to their commander as a person, rather then merely his rank; a rare thing, amongst Imperials...
Equipment is non-standard. Illegal, even. Reports of modified A-280 blaster rifles have been confirmed, and anyone that's had the unfortunate task of getting close to this unit can testify that their Shadowscout armor is enforced beyond Imperial standard. They opperate on frequencies we have yet to crack, suggesting 'after market' HUD units, as well. Mallox's infantry record has thusfar staved off any attempts by his superiors to draw his non-regulation unit to task.
Attempts to capture either a living or dead member of the 1308th has been severely hampered by unit cohesion. Unit possesses 20 men at full strength, but may use less or recruit more as their missions demand.
