Personality -

With dark brown hair, blue-green eyes, lightly tanned skin and the hardened physique of an active soldier, Mason is usually seen wearing the finest tailored suits that money can buy and generates an air of sophistication and pomp, leaving others to guess, quite incorrectly, that he is merely a self-indulged jock of some sort.  Those who know him, however, are aware that he is a natural strategist and some openly refer to him as “tactically brilliant”, but admit to little further knowledge while the majority of the galaxy is oblivious of his ability to set aside his charismatic ways to don the armor, weapons and cold hearted attitude that makes him the mercenary “Deepeyes”.

Equipment -

Depending on mission profile, Mason is capable of outfitting himself for any environment or conditions and often combines specialized equipment with improvised tools or weapons made from readily available materials.  As a minimum, however, he is typically found to be wearing a blast dampening vest of light, stab-resistant armorweave beneath his clothing and carrying a pair of Krayt Dragon pearl-handled BlasTech DC-17 blaster pistols (holding legal licenses to do so) and a combat knife bearing an 8" vibroblade of scan-resistant alloy.

When specifically geared for open conflict, Mason wears a heavy combat armor highly resistant to typical ammunitions and energy weapons alike, though it is only moderately protective against ballistic weapons of high grade as well as energy weapons of vehicular scale.  Due to the bulk of the armor, a strength/endurance/overall performance enhancing injection must be given through a bicep-located delivery system to wear it without loss of mobility or speed... the delivery system itself contains enough serum to allow Mason a 36 standard hour continual use of the armor, though such extended use will cause repercussions of extreme fatigue and sickness for several days afterwards.   For offense in the field, Mason has access to any number of requisitioned weapons though typically carries a beefy, custom crafted hybrid weapon based off of a BlasTech DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle with a secondary barrel for disruptor fire and a third, enlarged barrel for firing grenades of various similar profile (both the disruptor and grenade launcher are controlled via a thumb-operated toggle)  The armor also holds compartments for a customized DC-15s holdout blaster as well as an 8" bladed vibro-knife and, depending on mission profile, up to 8 grenades of various nature can be stored on a waist belt alongside a pouch of field supplies such as rations, emergency medical equipment and a portable fusion cutter.  Completing the armor is a helmet of similar design with an encoded communicator, emergency locator beacon, audio-enhancement pickups and an optics system that allows the man several fields of vision from infrared to thermal scanning as well as a limited zoom and visual recognition system.  The helmet's glowing blue external optics have earned Mason the codename "Deepeyes" as he was the first of Kenji Dirano's affiliates to use the armor.

Background - The son of an Imperial governor and his mistress, Mason was spirited away in his infancy and raised quietly amongst other questionably acquired children until the age of 7 where he was indoctrinated into a youth program focused on developing idyllic officers and junior officers.  Receiving the surname Rasczak to distance him from his parentage, Mason went on to show a keen insight into battlefield strategy as well as skills relating to espionage and improvisation and was eventually brought to active duty within the Stormtrooper Corps. Rising through the ranks to become a Commando, Mason Rasczak became a decorated officer and was later absorbed into Imperial Intelligence Agency due to his accolades in the field and incredible mission success rate.  Limited information from Mason's time with IIB is known to exist as he was a black-ops unit, though fragmented data compiled by the NRI references an unrivaled ability to bypass information networks and security systems to kill his targets without ever being seen.  This and other evidence, though purely circumstantial, has led to the popular belief that he is the Imperial operative codenamed "Ghost".  For unknown reasons, Mason was later dishonorably discharged from Imperial service (though this discharge corresponds to a known and particularly large breach of the Galactic Banking system) and is now a soldier of fortune. He is trained in advanced computer network infiltration, and use of all known light and heavy weapons of energy and ammunitions nature as well as close-quarters-combat.  Due to the nature of his military training, Mason is also likely well versed in the operation of most, if not all, Imperial vehicles and vessels existent at his time of service to a satisfactory degree.

--NRI Bulletin--

Mason Rasczak has been identified to hold business ties with Kenji Dirano and though no outstanding warrants for his arrest are documented, he is to be considered lethally dangerous, whether armed or unarmed.
