Name:  Azure WhiteClaw

Species:  Half Elf/Half Dragon

Age:  Immortal,  Appears to be in his late twenties

Abilities:

Fast healing:  Normal wounds ranging in stab to bullet wounds normally take around an hour to heal.  Lesser injuries usually take under half an hour unless Azure has endured a heavy and brutal beating.  Disease, poisons and other ailing effects also tend to slow the process of what is usually a fast recovery.  While capable of surviving massive blood loss, disembowelment, decapitation and dismemberment though go beyond his healing abilities.

Rune casting:  Versed in various magical arts the half elf can amplify the power of his attacks to immense proportions.  Like all forms of magic though, the casting of such requires mana and while his dragon side endows him with a high amount, he can only access so much of it at a time except for certain circumstances.

Dragon's rage:  It is when Azure taps into his dragon half that this side of him emerges. The level of mana he can tap into grows to immense proportions as does his attacks, unfortunately his focus and control all but vanishes as most of his actions while in this state will mostly be driven by furry and instinct.

Skills:

Katana mastery:  A common knowledge amongst most people that live in a world where lack there of would often result in death, Azure is proficient enough to hold his own should it ever come down to a classic scenario of crossing blades.

Marksman:  Azure's half elfish heritage has endowed him with eye sight that allows him near perfect pin point accuracy with any ranged weapon though unlike other full blooded elves his eye sight and reach seems to exceed being able to shoot at and hit targets over half a mile away without a scope.

Description:

For the most part Azure appears to be a normal elf with no characteristics suggesting that his parenthood was anything other than elf.  The only features though that stand out and separate him from other elf kind would the runes that appear along his body whenever he enters into a state of spell casting.  Another attribute is the elf's enhanced physical strength that he gets from his father, the limits to this strength range from lifting the back end of a massive boulder with partial difficulty to punching through a solid brick wall.  His strength though comes at the price that he is not as lithe and agile as his full blooded cousins, only capable of leaping and bounding half the distances that he normally could if he wasn't a mixed breed.  His senses on the other hand are another story altogether being greater than the sum of which parented Azure.  Finally, the level of mana that exists in his body while greater than any elf is only half as great as any dragon there again showing mixed results of his lineage, although as previously mentioned he can only tap so much out of this well at a given time except for certain circumstances.

Rune Casting:

Ice Torrent:  A massive torrent of fast freezing water follows behind Azure's blade, should the attack follow through successfully the target will be encased in a massive block of ice.

Eruption of flames:  Azure's blade strikes against the ground and causes a 12ft-20ft of flames to erupt around his form which expands out to a 7ft radius

Arcane Shots:  A circle of runes will appear and surround the barrel of Azure's gun, turning simple bullet rounds into massive shots of potent arcane blasts, (requires caster shells)

Lightning Blade:  Bolts of charged energy will build up in the half elf's blade extending it's reach to nearly triple it's original length.  The effects of being slashed and attacked with this form of his sword are no different than being struck by lightning itself but like lightning the duration of this attack can only last for a few seconds and has a massive mana burn on Azure

Weapons:

The Dragon's Fang:  A katana blade forged from unknown metals, the blade is extremely light weight yet heavily durable when compared to most other swords.  However the only true magical quality of the sword is it's scabbard, when sheathed any damage or dullness the blade has accumulated will gradually wear away till the sword is as sharp and toned as the day it was first forged.  However the more damage the sword has suffered, the longer it'll take for the scabbard to do it's work.

The Hydra:  A gun made famous for it's unique qualities and appearance.  There are actually two slots in the handle where two different types of clips can be loaded, along with a section in the bottom barrel where single shot rounds can be slotted in.  It is capable of firing normal shells and caster shells, both style of shells can be fired through a top rotating barrel, it is from this barrel that Azure fires arcane shots when the spell is active.  The bottom barrel though can have single caster shells can be loaded in where only their normal level of power can be used.

Caster Shells: These are gun rounds that have been imbued with mana to increase their destructiveness and effectiveness against mythical based beings.  Hard to make and or acquire as the shells require a delicate balance of compounds and a knowledge of magic that goes beyond the primary basics and since the guns that are used to fire them are even more rarer than the shells themselves few shop keepers keep them in stock.  There are three classes of caster shells, each class with a varying degree of power.

Type 1:  These are the most common, while still hard to forge and craft, their compounds are easy enough to find.  They have as much push back as a normal shot gun round with each shot.  Often made in large groups their often found in 20 round clips.  Due to the fact they are the least difficult caster shell to make they are the least hardest to find and are the ones that Azure will have the most on hand. Impact wise they can cause a minor explosion capable of encompassing an entire limb and for mythical beings endowed with magic can be just as deadly for a normal person being hit by a Volkswagen.  These are also the rounds that Azure will mostly use for his arcane shots, namely since once a caster shell is converted into one, their push back becomes ten fold (for a human it'll be like firing a bazooka in rapid succession) so they are the least draining

Type 2:  At the very most Azure will have 5 of these on him at any given time.  Unlike Type 1s, these are more harder as they require some one keen knowledge in the magical arts and as such if found are highly expensive.  Unlike Type 1s these are single shot rounds and must be loaded manually into clips, but due to their level of power it is more safer to load them into the Hydra's lower barrel.  When fired from the lower barrel, they are nearly twice as powerful as a clip of type 1s converted into arcane shots.  When a type 2 round itself is converted into a arcane shot Azure's shooting arm will probably go numb for about an hour from the mere kick back.  The arcane shot itself can probably level an entire building and is practically lethal to less mythical beings for greater ones though they can cause a significant amount of injury.

Type 3: By far the most rare and hard to find of all caster shells the sheer price of them is staggering and that is if the price reasonable.  Due to the power of just one, Azure only carries one on him Type 3s also have a unique nature, unlike 1 and 2 types instead of leaving a massive explosion in their wake they create a implosion drawing in all matter around them in a 10 ft radius for about a few minutes.  These shells Azure will always load into the bottom barrel, and will never use them as a arcane shot as the resulting backlash could cause more harm than whatever the target was and mere throwback could blow off Azure's arm right out of the socket.

Personality:

A laid back loner for the most part, he is relatively calm and well collected.  Never really speaking unless spoken to, he prefers to save his words unless he feels there is something important that must be addressed.  While he does hire himself out for simple jobs, he will on the rare occasional play the role of a hero should his conscious drive him hard enough.

Background:

It all started when Triana one of several elf priests who were sent to investigate a region reporting demonic activity and were to perform exercising rituals should such be the case.  At first the investigation started routinely enough.  No signs of any demon could be found other than the horrid magical after effects found on victims.  It wasn't until Triana and other key members of the group started to vanish that the situation started to escalate.  A detachment of elf Rangers and mages would be called in as eventually the root of the problem was revealed not to be a demon of any kind but a dragon of dark energies.  A confrontation followed by an intense fight would result in several wounded and dead with a injured dragon forced into retreat.  While most of those originally taken were found dead, Triana was found shaken but alive.

At first Triana appeared to have gotten over her ordeal with the dragon, that is until she found herself to be with child.  The precise details of the fathering were sketchy in her mind, either mentally blocked out or obscured by magic but what memories remained left her to believe that what she carried in her womb was what most elves would call an abomination.  Fearful of her and her child's life she would allow those to believe that the child was a result of a random encounter.  And while this did result in her dismissal as a priestess and her becoming a downcast in elf society, it did at least insure her future child's survival.  After it's birth, she appeared to have given birth to a normal elf boy which she would name Azure.

It wasn't until the infant had reached childhood that he started displaying characteristics that were not of normal elf kind.  Odd runes, dark magic in origin would appear on his body whenever he practiced common day spells and the fact his mana pool seemed to never run dry drew further suspicion about the true nature of his father.  Blood tests would be run on the child and the horrible and ugly truth would fall out into the open like an exposed wound to vultures.  Triana herself would make one last desperate bid to save her son's life, before the elf council of her region could announce her judgment she attempted to sneak away in the dead of night only to have a night watchman spot her.  A chase would follow and ignorance coupled with blind pride would result in spilled blood and a orphaned half dragon and half elf child.  Before the child shared in his mother's fate though, a figure from out of the darkness suddenly snatched the child away through a cloak of shadow and smoke.

Azure would awaken and find himself in a cave belonging to a guild of assassins.  It would turn out that the leader of the guild was the one who had saved his life, Rokashi.  Rokashi had apparently been watching and observing Azure since the day of his birth, noting his unique qualities.  The guild that Rokashi ran did more than just merely kill people for money, rather their leader believed in shaping the world by killing key individuals, leaders, political figures, and other prominent people so as to lead the whole of the world down a road of Utopia.  With having saved his life, the soil was set to recieve these ideals and more as Azure would go down a road of training to help prepare him in aiding Rokashi in his dream.  While the training itself was hard and brutal with Rokashi taking advantage of the lad's level of mana, Azure took it all in stride as he'd constantly press himself to be ready when the time would come to take his place among the other assassins.

When Azure was ready he'd be set on simple assassination jobs, just simple jobs that the guild occasionally accepted to help support themselves financially.  Eager to prove himself he'd manage to eliminate his targets with quick and deadly grace as he'd eventually move on to more higher ranked assignments.  The rivalry with his fellow guild members had always been tense, but this only proved to further tone and strengthen the half elf's focus managing to push and out do much of his competition.  Gaining momentum Azure would fulfill most if not all of Rokashi's expectations of him, eventually becoming one of his top killers.  It wouldn't be long before Azure had earned Rokashi's full trust and he'd bestow upon him two weapons of powerful magic and temper.  It was also here that Rokashi would reveal a horrible and ugly truth.

Rokashi would reveal unto Azure a secret that few other guild members knew of, while appearing human for the most part Azure had often gotten the feeling that were was more to his leader than he had ever shown.  Transforming before his very eyes Rokashi would reveal himself to be a black dragon, thus explaining his knowledge of the magical and martial arts he had passed down to him.  He'd further reveal that it was him who had siezed his mother along with other members of her group of priests during that fateful assignment.  Why he had done what he had done was simple, he wanted to see why it was forbidden for dragons to mate outside of their general species, specially with elves.  Believing it was more than just keeping the blood lines pure, he guessed that the results of such a union would result in powerful and hard to control offspring.  Azure as he'd proudly proclaim was proof of this.

Feeling betrayed, used and back stabbed it was all Azure could to keep from turning his new weapons on the very one who he had pledged his life to.  Rather he'd keep the same calm and trusting face that he had always shown Rokashi.  Leaving an assassin's guild is not as simple as quitting one's day job.  You were either booted out for constant failure, followed by execution or you were killed during an assignment.  It was the latter that Azure would stage, leaving his rivals and his now known father to believe that he had met his end on his last assignment.  It wouldn't be until much later when Azure was long gone that Rokashi would realize that who he thought was Azure was just another thug's body disguised by magic.

Presently to this day Azure has set up himself up as a merchant ship captain.  Traveling from port to port, he captains his airship to wherever the breeze takes him.

The Black Angel:

Airship:

Desc:  A ship powered purely by steam, the black angel is as fast as her kind can come.  Using an auto loader the ship can fly at speeds that can out run or over run just about anything in the air, least anything of equal or lower technology.  About the size of a small commericial jet the hull itself is mostly composed of steel plating with a strong wood frame.  Two engines rest on each wing connected to a muffled steam generator allowing for a smooth and quiet ride.  A varnished wood trimmed deck gives the ship an old fashion and classical appearance, even the main steering mechanism looks like it came off an old ship.  Fully armed, the ship is more than capable of defending herself in a fight.  Both sides of the ship are equipped with 12 caster shell cannons with two rotating caster shell cannons on the front.

Life boats:  Smaller steam powered vessels, the ship has about five of these for individual missions.  Each one armed with a single caster shell cannon, each one can only fly half as fast as it's mother vessel with enough room for 12 passengers plus a captain.  Among these is the Black Halo, Azure's personal long boat which he may use for personal missions or affairs.
