Shadow People are reported worldwide and since the beginning of recorded history. Shadow people seem to be living shadows but could possibly be paranormal though whether they are demonic spirits, human spirits or some other extraterrestrial or extradimensional entity, is unknown. They are usually seen out of the corner of peoples eyes. Some people see semi-transparent dark splotches.
They vanish as soon as a person realizes what they saw. When people see shadow people a feeling of despair and fear overcome them. There have been some reports of being attacked or chased by these shadows.
They are believed to be evil and aggressive in nature, although a few people consider them to be a form of guardian angel. A Shadow Person's behavior tend to vary, suggesting they may be as varied as regular people. Some report that when looked at in the chest or eyes, they emit a loud scream that sounds like screechy static, loud winds, and/or creaking wood.
They are often reported moving with quick, jerky movements, and quickly disintegrate into walls or mirrors.
They often cause their victims to feel unable to move, and stare at them in silence, rarely ever speaking. Sometimes they will even sit on their chests. Many are spotted within hospitals, or otherwise near those who are dying.The shadows are usually larger than a normal shadow and notably don't resemble the shadow of the person sighting it. They range from being mist-like to being completely solid like a regular human.
Though this is not true to all shadow figures. Some of them may possess eyes, the eyes vary in color and are classed as having certain traits of behavior based the color of their eyes. Although this list is still being documented it is known that the white-eyed shadows are typically faster, more logical, and much more still. However, there have been reports of shadows with red eyes which have been documented. These are typically viewed as being the more sinister.
One commonly seen Shadow Person is known as The Hat Man, who has been reported worldwide with very few variations in overall appearance and behavior.
The Hat Man is a solid black man, sometimes with white, red, yellow or black eyes with a wide rimmed hat usually reported to either be a fedora and a long trench coat though some sightings claim a cape. Unlike other Shadow people, he is generally seen as much more physically solid.
Those who see The Hat Man report feeling a sense of malevolence coming from him, and he seems to show curiosity towards witnesses. He seems to take great pleasure from the fear of those who see him. Some witnesses have gone as far as to claim him to be the devil. Unlike other feral shadow persons, the Hat Man is cunning and manipulative. He appears to have some kind of influence or control over lesser shadow persons.
Alternatively known as The Hooded Monk.
These appear as dark shadows which resemble the silhouette of an ancient monk dressed in robes. They are often seen in the form of a human shape which appear to have a set of white eyes or no eyes whatsoever. People who encounter these Shadow People feel a deep rage bubbling behind the black cowl.
This entity is often seen around cemeteries and interiors with altars or other sacred objects. This shadow manifestation is similar to "The Hat Man", though this is little information compiled on this being.
A recently discovered type of entity.
This entity appears as a tall humanoid with dark skin and extremely long legs. It's face is completely distorted and is covered in multiple eyes, giving it something of an arachnid like appearance. It has been reported to occasional make chattering noises.
The Long Legs shadow is extremely hostile and tends to be sighted around people who experience strong guilt, shame or loneliness. It has been sighted mostly in rural areas and secluded urban exteriors. What makes this shadow unique is that so far it is the only entity that prefers to manifest in broad daylight.
An unusual but commonly sighted shadow entity and perhaps in a few instances, even documented on video.
It appears as a tall humanoid with an all black appearance and a rather abnormally large head. The top of the head is shaped like a triangle in order to fit the corners of a room. Why this shadow being has adapted this feature is unknown. This entity doesn't seem to have any visible feat and appears to be floating. It also possess the ability to stretch it's arms to grab it's intended victims.
It is a hostile entity, and is often found in domestic interiors, usually bedrooms and tends to be drawn towards people with strong Nyctophobia.
