Brief History: Victoria White was in 1978. She lived a surprisingly uneventful life growing up, picking up on the need to be studious and ambitious from her father, a former Police Chief and man of profound ambition. She took an interest in both the medical and occult at a pretty young age, starting with mythology and books on body parts in elementary school and working up towards metaphysics and biology through high school.
At sixteen, Victoria came home to find her father dead on the couch of an aneurysm. With his eyes closed, she assumed him to be asleep and proceeded to watch TV with him for fifteen minutes before finding her mother in wandering the house and informing her. Turns out he was dead. It's been hard for her to accept since, and inspired in her a fascination with death and its causes. Upon leaving high school, Victoria pursued a career as a forensic pathologist.
Keeping the trend that had permeated through the whole of her existence so far, Victoria was rather uninteresting and studious throughout college. And undergrad. And med school. And residency. And fellowship. Out of school, it was hardly difficult for Victoria to land a job as a forensic pathologist at the Escondido Medical Center. She lived modestly, kept to herself and supplemented the absence of excitement in her life with studies into the occult. A fascination with the supernatural followed Victoria throughout her life, largely struck with an interest to think of something no one had any real understanding of.
She found it when given the body of a eight year old girl to investigate. The autopsy revealed nothing of profound interest: the girl died of blood lost from cuts received, and didn't seem to struggle with them. However, Victoria noticed a few ritual aspects to her death in location of the cuts and the traces of substances and scents on her body. However, the clients believed this to be a bit excessive and theoretical and made a point to have mention of it stripped from the reports. Victoria resolved to look into the ritual on her own time.
In her investigations, she realized the reason the entire situation was kept so quiet; there was a team of FBI agents on the case. They found her far before she found them, but the Division of Special Interests was surprised by her insight and mental acuity and suggested her for the bureau. As she fit most of the criteria, and wasn't about to pass up the opportunity, she pursued it. After training in Virginia, she was assigned to the Division of Special Interests herself, and is known for being astute, if not overly social.
