Name: Carl Roebenoff
Age: 26
Affiliation: Miskatonic post-graduate program
Bio: Carl has always been a bright young lad, showing himself to be an apt pupil with a great deal of insight in his classes and a burning desire for Knowledge. While friendly and charming in a bookwormish way, he was the sort that looked to be slated for starvation or professorship as he would likely have trouble in any realm but that of academia.
Deciding to take up dual majors in mathematics and anthropology and having the rare ability to balance his study and do well in both, Roebenoff showed signs of being a prize for whatever academic faculty wound up keeping him. His professors saw inspiration just waiting for the practical knowledge to allow him to do great things in any field he so chose.
In his dreams he thought new ways of looking at things, and new concepts to try, thinking further and further outside the box, so that in the waking world puzzles and problems were solved with delightful ease.
His choice to take up his post-graduate work at Miskatonic was a surprise by those that knew him, but nobody questioned an eager young man who showed all the signs of becoming a benevolent eccentric genius. For his own part, he was looking for a puzzle that nobody had ever thought was worth solving. Something to give him a challenge to understand. The goings on of a half century ago seemed just the sort of thing to look into.
