Brief History: Alice grew up the daughter of the growing Portland empire of Powell's City of Books. Raised around and ever adoring the fount of knowledge she swam in through her day to day life, it didn't take much to make Alice a bookworm. Also, it took her a very short period of time to find all the books Daddy kept locked up in the recesses Rare Book Room. This being the case, she developed an interest in the occult at a remarkably young age, and showed a surprising amount of skill in her dabblings.
Through her research, she discovered the occultish mysteries of Lovecraft County. She visited a few times in her adolescence, but had to put such thoughts by the wayside while pursuing her high school diploma and subsequent degree in literature.
While studying at Miskatonic, Alice took a year abroad to pursue her love of French Literature in Marseilles. While studying there, she met and became fast friends with Moirah Knights, eventually encouraging her to come to the States when she could. Namely, the intriguing town of Arkham, where Alice was hell-bent on living upon graduation.
At 22, Alice graduated Miskatonic University with a degree in Literature. Keeping in constant contact with Moirah in Marseilles, she beelined straight into a doctoral program. Flying through her doctorate with incredible acumen and skill, she became one of the university's youngest professors at the age of 28, having been named a Doctor of Letters at 27.
Throughout this, she settled in Arkham at long last, and fell in love with the community as a means of appeasing all of her occult curiosity. To showcase this, she joined the Association, which simultaneously put her in over her head and gave her an outlet for her years of exploration.
