Daniel "Skid" Cortez came from a poor background, his dad having ran off before he was born, and his mother showed little interest in him or his siblings, often choosing to party and get dopped up. Skid was clever as a kid, often hustling in order to feed himself and the siblings left alone by their mother. At the age of 17 he joined the military to get away from his hometown, and the people he'd grown to hate. While serving in Iraq Skid was known to be resistant of orders, often getting himself into trouble, but he was smart, and resourceful, finding unconvenional ways to solve problems, often saving his squad from unnecessary deaths. After his tour of duty was up, he tried to resign, prefering the chaos of being in hot zones, to the mundane life he had back home, but was refused because of his record of refusing orders. After returning home, he was able to use the GI Bill to get a B.S. in Chemistry, but couldn't handle the 9-5 life, and lost several jobs. It was then he found his true passion, living the biker life. With them, he could live free, and there was enough violence to keep his interest.
