---Character History--
David grew up very much happy, with a family who cared for him and who would do anything for him. Ah, yes, the blessings of being an only child.
David's powers manifested when he was 13 and swimming in the pool. He was thrown into the pool, playfully, by a friend, but he hit his head on the way down. His powers immediately went haywire, generating more and more water. The pool quickly overflowed, and everyone nearby was too scared to jump in and save David. Luckily, one of his friends got the nerve enough to jump in and pull David out.
It took a little while for him to, first of all, understand what was happening, and two, get things under control. After the whole incident, he couldn't keep his ability a secret; everyone knew. Luckily, his parents understood that he had no control over being a mutant, and accepted him for what he was. Through a friend of the family, David's parents learned about the Xavier Institute and suggested David move there. He did, and he completed high school there. He still lodges there, though, taking a full-load of college-level classes. Currently, David is taking general education classes, excelling in the math and science areas. After he finishes the general ed. courses, David has expressed interest in biological engineering and bio-genetics.
Power-wise, David - or Hydro as he'll take as a codename - has a very good handle on his powers. He's able to produce a good amount of water from absolutely nothing, about an 8-foot deep pool at a time...before he needs to rest and refresh. Since the water David creates is absolutely pure with no imperfections in it at all, it is actually a very poor conductor of electricity. It is not commonly-known that pure water is actually a much better insulator than a conductor, and David could help disperse electricity with his water, or use it as a shield if he's facing an electrically-charged foe. It should also be noted that David's water is rather cool, chilled even, naturally. About cold tap temperature. It would be comfortable to drink on a hot day.
He can shape the water he produces, being a hydrokinetic, and has complete control over it. His water carries his genetic signature in it, which gives him *exclusive* control over it. He can form it into a sort of water-bomb, as it explodes with a good amount of force when it contacts, sort of like a water balloon. He can fire little streams of water at extreme speeds...he's succeeded in piercing concrete with these before. And also, he can form a giant wave, if need be, to wash things away. In more recent experiences, David has experimented with water pressure. In one instance, he created a water-shell around his enemy and began to make the molecules more and more dense, applying heavy, heavy pressure onto the shell and the person within. It is conceivable, then, that David could pick up objects and move them by creating a water-shell around them.
Though there are a couple of downfalls. First off, once David uses all the water he can produce at a time, he grows very weak, and more water must be absorbed by touch. Much like a fish out of water, David must rejuvenate through physical contact with water of any kind. It's not an instant thing either. No, David has to absorb almost half of what he normally retains until he's back to normal strength.
Also, David has, ironically, a fear of water. A fear of drowning to be more specific. Ever since that incident in the pool, David has not been able to go into a pool or take a bath or swim in the ocean for fear of drowning. His own powers scare him sometimes, especially when he conjures a giant wave. He's always afraid of somehow getting caught in it and drowning.

Recently, David has discovered something else, another aspect of his ability that he didn't know about, ironically too, because it hadn't come up until David fought Chris McDowell in the Danger Room. A bit of Chris' blood mixed into the water on the floor and David, not looking, tried to absorb all the water. The second the blood entered his system with the water, his mind felt like "his head nearly crushed in on itself." The pain almost instantly spread to the rest of his body, creating undying agony. So, apparently, if there're any non-water substances in whatever water he absorbs, it will cause him extreme pain, past 10 on the pain scale. In this first occurance, Chris McDowell was able to break down and destroy his own blood cells within David's body, which immediately eased David's pain. Had this not happened, David probably would have had to flush his system, almost completely emptying his stores of water to get rid of all traces of the "poison" before filling back up with new, untainted water.

- David Stone has been selected to test for one of the X-teams.
- David faced off against Scott Summers in the Danger Room and held his own.
- In the infirmary, David met Kageri and fell for her. The two traded innuendos.
- When possessed, David gets extreme dizziness and nausea, usually resulting in throwing up.
- Kageri's daughter, Alexia, met David and sliced his arm open because she was afraid of him.
- The Hellions, Cessily Kincaid and Noriko Ashida, have sworn to harm David because of the fight David and Kageri had about Alexia's mutant condition.
- David has met Mystique at the Mansion, and is furious that a known criminal is not only being housed at he Xavier school, but is apparently an X-Man.
- Mystique has shown hostilities toward David and his romantic interest, Kageri, and has even hinted toward "paying Kageri a visit."
- David and Kageri's relationship has strengthened and, despite Alexia's protests, they both have expressed that they want to be with each other.
- Kageri has been teaching David to overcome his fear of drowning.
- Alexia and David have been almost getting along lately, ever since Kageri explained to her how she feels about David.
- David enjoys eating fresh fruit, non-citrus, such as grapes, apples, watermelon and canteloupe. He can commonly be seen with a bowl of fruit that he, himself, sometimes keeps watered.
- If David absorbs a water source that has a substance mixed in, it will "poison" his body, creating extreme pain.
- David has revealed that on June 15th, 2000, he fell into the pool and almost died. The day seems to have significant meaning to him, and he remembers it every anniversary.
- If David is controlling water, and it's form of matter changes to solid or gas, it causes him to lose control of it, and he experiences a tiny headache.
- After an awkward moment between Alexia, Kageri and David, he has realized that he and Kageri weren't meant to be from the start and, after a heartbreaking revelation, David has decided that Kageri and Alexia are better off without him "gumming up the works" in their relationship, especially since it seems Alexia cannot stand to be around David.
- Kageri's disappearance/kidnapping took a devastating toll on David. During her absence, he realized that he does truly love her, and that he would be broken if anything should happen to her. He also realized that he does care about Alexia too, and that he would be very upset, likewise, if she were harmed.
- Upon Kageri's return, David was beyond relieved. He was overjoyed. The two confessed their love for each other.
- David has apprently overcome his fear of drowning, exhibiting his swimming prowess by taking multiple laps in the mansion pool unafraid.
- With Alexandria's help, David is planning on taking Kageri and Alexia to Hawaii for a Christmas vacation.
- David and Justin started out very bitter toward each other - rivals. Now, they've made friends...but David suspects something to be mentally unstable about Justin.
