Powers: Sound Control and manipulation & "Super" Hearing (strictly the sound, not sonic bursts) Can imitate any sound/voice she knows of (heard), even multiple sounds/voices at once (although more than 1 at a time doing different sounds would take practice and/or concentration). Can throw her voice (her own or sounds she makes) to anywhere within earshot ("voiceshot"), and can silence the space of an entire large room (100 sq. ft. max) optionally including her own voice/voices or not. Her ears are unaffected by sound damage regardless of decibel/sound pressure strength. She can generate sounds up to about 170 decibels (in air, about the dB of a small stun grenade; pain threshold is around 130dB. underwater she would max out at 100 dB while the auditory threshold of a diver is about 67dB), although holding such a high level would be incredibly straining. The frequencies her voice (and hearing and sound control) can cover range from 15 Hz to 25000 Hz (normal humans hear between 20hz-20kHz). For a more analog detail of what this means: she could easily damage someone's hearing, would have a harder time causing permanent hearing damage, and be hard pressed to break anything other than really-thin glass right in front of her mouth. If even she can't hear something, then she has no hope to control or alter it.

Brief History: Born to a well-to-do mixed-race family from the Southern U.S., she'd had a better start in life than most. She was able to access all the education she could ever hope for as a child and as such would be perceived as a very smart teenager. She was entirely home-schooled, especially after her Father learned she was a powered mutant (they would have tested her at birth to determine if the gene was present, but would have kept the results a secret). She wasn't allowed to go out alone as her parents feared she would be targetted both as a mutant and their daughter, but they couldn't have all her schooling completed at their southern home. So they sought to gain her entry into a prestigous mutant school in the North, where few would know about her family and she could learn in safety.

She's a religious girl, generally Christian although not calling herself as such, and has a very "be at peace" take on the matter. Speaks with a distinctly South African accent (picked up from her mother) and has medium-toned skin with fair-colored hair, blue eyes, refined tastes, a penchant for singing when alone, and a healthy taste for Latin, history and soccer. When she speaks (anything, "super" or normal talking), there is a light in her mouth that seems to come from her throat (this light is not present when she "silences" a space). It's bright enough to block the view down her gullet, but not blind or hurt, although the intensity may increase when using her powers more heavily. It's suggested that her vocal chords & windpipe exercise a form of local shape-shifting to accomodate her unique powers, but this wouldn't biologically explain how she can "silence" a room selectively.
