Name: Jesse Demire
Aliases or Codenames: Kageri/Shadow
Age: 40ish (appears 20ish)
Affiliation: Member of the NSF (National Science Foundation), AIBS member (American Institute of Biological Studies), a registered nurse of the state of New York, and an occasional member of the science 'team' at the mansion.
Relations: Adoptive daughter-Alexia Demire
Powers:

Incorporeal form (falls through floors, can go through walls, etc), Possession (Short time of about 5 minutes w/out 'victim' remembering what they did afterwards, longer time of about 10 or 15 w/ victim retaining memory, however after that she's weakened and unable to hold a corporeal form for 10-15 minutes 1:1 ratio), flight (not nearly supersonic, but faster than running), and invisibility.

Her powers have been unable to evolve due to the state she's been in for the past 20 years, so basically same powers as in X.

History:

Having been tossed out of her home after finding out she was a mutant somewhat late in life (midway through college), she traveled cross-country to reach the Xavier Institute, where she learned control of her powers and took up a part-time job at the infirmary to earn her keep and help put herself through school. She learned basic first aid along with some more advanced methods, and before long, she was taking calls on her own. This is where she met Stefan who would later become Alexia. When she was taking care of this 'animal', it bit her and took in her DNA, making 'it' a female youth when it'd originally a male. She decided to adopt this form as her own, natural one, and called herself Alexia Jesse Demire from then on.

Soon afterwards, Kageri became involved in x-men affairs, but it wasn't to last long, as her daughter missed her a lot. She took a long sabbatical to reconnect, but unfortunately, tragedy struck. She was mortally injured by a surprise attack when picking up some cocoa one night. The city could be a dangerous place, and as she was bleeding out, a mutant by the name of Grave came along and talked to her and convinced her that he could keep her from dying by having her possess him and use his powers on her. She agreed, apprehensively, and possessed him. Feeling better momentarily, she attempted to leave, but found herself unable to do so. She could not seem to free herself.

Through the healing process, his body literally took her into him, making parts of her unable to separate, and she found herself trapped physically, although not mentally. In fact, she was able to keep herself aware and occasionally he would even allow her control of the body the two shared as symbioses. During this time, she got her degree and studied not only the x-gene (her main area of expertise), but also her own predicament, and through reaching out to the scientific community, trial, and error, she was able to release herself from her 'prison', and all too kind warden. However, this did take time... almost 20 years.

During this time, she attempted to take care of her daughter, however they couldn't help but become somewhat estranged due to Alexia's powers and past. So, out of respect and concern for her well-being, after she was old enough to be off on her own, Kageri allowed her to be her own woman, and flourish.

Now, newly released, she's found that she'd been unable to age (a secondary effect of his power), and she is still a bit insecure and unsure of her own body. However she seems to be stabilized, and is now looking forward to moving forward with her life...

Question is, what kind of a life does she have to look forward to?
