HISTORY -

After Danny regained his powers once he betrayed Heaven, he continued to walk the Earth as a Ghost Rider. He and his brother, Johnny, both had the power. It was this way for years. After Danny regained some of his former self, since his great defiance and alliance with Zadkiel, Stacy came back to him. They became a couple once again, and during this time, she confessed that she was pregnant with his child. Once his son was born, Danny felt truly happy for the first time in a long time. Michael, as he was named, gave Danny true purpose. Growing up in the Ketch family did not exactly mean a "normal" life. He often heard stories of how the Ghost Riders vanquished evil. He grew up knowing about his family's past and being constantly exposed to their secrets.

When Michael started showing mystical sensitivity, his Aunt Robin took a special interest in him, and the two spent countless hours together, working through Michael's potential and building his senses' strengths. Over time, Michael discovered he could feel the energies of people around him, see into other planes of existence, and even project his astral form. Michael loved his Aunt Robin, and always looked forward to spending time with her.

Some time into his early teens, Michael got into contact with the spirit of his deceased aunt, Barbara Ketch, and the two started talking a lot. She would follow Michael and ensure his safety. She also warned him about Johnny's last night alive. Against his father's wishes and knowledge, Michael snuck out that night and followed his Uncle Johnny's unique energy signature out to an abandoned warehouse lot...just in time to watch him die. The resulting explosion was powerful, and Michael was too close to avoid the inferno of Hellfire. He watches his death approach, but he lived. The spirit of his Aunt Barbara rushed in and traded her freedom for Michael's life. She grafted her soul right into Michael's, saving his life. The two became one.

At first, Michael told no one, too afraid to admit that he was there that night. But Aunt Robin could not be fooled, and he came clean with her. Since then, the two worked together to strengthen the bond and break down barriers in the new connection. She created exercises for Michael and Barbara to go through that would help grow the spiritual mind. Michael worked at it until he mostly understood what had happened to him.

Little did Michael know, however, that the bonding of Barbara Ketch's spirit to his soul created a brand new Spirit of Vengeance, birthed from the necessity of their joining to keep Michael alive and from the murder of Johnny Blaze. Waiting within Michael...was a Ghost Rider. Barbara Ketch was Michael's Spirit of Vengeance.

POWERS -

Full-on Ghost Rider abilities. Super-strength, enhanced speed and reflexes, regeneration (faster while in GR form, slower while human). He has use and control of Hellfire and can wield the Penance Stare. He has little control of the change between spirit and self, and feels the intense need the change and seek vengeance on those who spill the blood of the innocent in his presence. He can create chains and blades from sheer will.
