Name: Daniel Ketch Codename: Ghost Rider Age: 47 Affiliation: N/A Relations: Brother of Johnny Blaze and Robin Kale-Gillard; Father of Michael Ketch; Uncle of Craig Blaze and Donovan Gillard. Powers: Custom Ghost Rider powers. He is not affiliated with any spirit of vengeance, and is in full control of his powers - able to change at will. He is immune to physical damage as a Rider, and can stay in Rider form after receiving possibly-mortal damage in order to heal and stay alive. He has superhuman-strength and enhanced reflexes. He has no Penance Stare anymore, but can still create and control Hellfire. Brief History: Part of a cursed bloodline - Kale - Danny witnessed the near-death of his sister, Barbara in a cemetery, where he touched a motorcycle gas cap, transforming him into the Ghost Rider. Years passed and after a complicated series of events, Ketch exorcised the Noble Kale spirit of vengeance from his soul, and was freed. However, after this, he realized how much he missed it and went into a depression. He was met by a mystical being disguised as a crow who eventually gave him all the Ghost Rider powers back, but he had to swear allegiance to Zadkiel, an angel bent on taking over Heaven, and gather all of the other spirits of vengeance around the world. Ketch found out, in the end, that he was merely being used and ended up single-handedly betraying Heaven to Zadkiel. He pays for it even today by being a Ghost Rider without a spirit of vengeance. He is cursed to walk forever with it as a part of him. Not long after this, though, Ketch met Stacy again and the two reconciled. Danny found solace and comfort in their love. Stacy revealed that she was pregnant with his child. Michael was born. Danny, happy to be a father, always feared in the back of his mind that, somehow, Michael would suffer the family curse too...and continued to keep his eye on the boy. When Michael was old enough to understand, he explained the history and everything he could about the Ghost Riders, but he kept certain things cryptic and hidden, much like the Caretaker had. Johnny's death followed soon after. He was unaware that Michael had snuck out to be there. He was unaware that his sister's spirit latched onto Michael to save his life. He did sense something different about Michael, but without a spirit of vengeance, he has had more trouble sorting out those kind of senses. After his brother's death, Danny took a turn for the worse, slipping into another depression. Stacy couldn't take it anymore and said she would move out momentarily until Danny could sort out his feelings. Michael protested going with her, and said he could do his dad a lot more good staying with him than leaving.
