Menace

History:
Renafel's parents were Stephen and Elisa Walker. Elisa was a mutant sympathizer, while her father hated mutants. When Renafel was born she looked like a normal everyday kid, and for most of her life, that was how she was raised.
When she was around 9-years-old her mother noticed a green tint starting to show in her hair and at first thought nothing of it, until about a year later she realized what that tint might mean. Panicked that her husband might find out Ren was a mutant and do something drastic, she began to dye Renafel's hair a normal blond and told Renafel to hide any powers she may develope. Renafel reluctantly obeyed her mother, and when she turned 14 she kept her newly discovered ability to sense and control plants to herself. Her mother died right after Renafel turned 15, bitter mutants had gone on a human killing spree, and Renafel's mother was among those killed. Enraged, Stephen Walker blamed all mutants for the death of his wife and joined an anti-mutant movement. Renafel, torn by the loss of her mother locked herself in her room and came out only briefly for the neccesities. In her grief Renafel forgot to re-dye her hair and the roots began to turn green...
Stephen came home one day from work and saw Renafel laying on the couch staring blankly up at the cieling. He went over to comfort his daughter, and suddenly noticed the green in her hair. He questioned Renafel, and after a long talk finally got the truth from her. Furious at the deceit from his wife and daughter he gave Renafel just enough money to keep her going for a month and threw her out on the streets. Renafel wandered aimlessly for a long time before finally coming across a article in the newspaper with the words "School for Mutants" in the title. Renafel scanned over the article and set out with a new hope for Professor Xavier's School for the Gifted.

Renafel arrived a few weeks later, showing up at the gate on rainy day, and looking all pathetic standing out there. When integrated in, she was at first shy and avoided the other students and teachers. After she built more confidence, she set to the task of making a place for herself in the mansion with a will, and earned herself a lot of friends. She even self appointed herself to the task of trying to make new people feel welcome in the mansion, a far cry from what she does recently. She used to be as nice as Ariana, and not so shy so was actually well liked, imagine that!.

Later, Renafel was eating breakfast when Sinister, disguised as Cyclops, came into the kitchen. Renafel stood up to leave and got as far as the door before "Cyclops" asked to have a word with her. Renafel started to speak to him, then Symbiote Sabertooth appeared in the doorway behind her. S.Sabertooth turned to deal with Bobby Drake, who had just shown up, and Renafel turned to help.. then was jabbed in the back by something sharp and fell unconcious. The next thing she knew she was being thrown into a vat of murky water by Sinister. She swam sputtering up to get air, and saw a strange black ooze "swimming" towards her. She screamed and tried to get away to no avail. The symbiote joined with her and practically took over, though Rena still had some control over her actions. Because of the influence of the symbiote Renafel was the unwilling servant of Sinister and Sabertooth, and still feels absolutely horrible about what she did while still joined with it. Sabertooth seemed to get a kick out of setting her against friends.

Dr.Doom later removed Renafel's symbiote, freeing her of it's influence, so that he may study it at his leisure. Still on a horrible guilt trip, Renafel lurked about the mansion, but couldn't quite bring herself to stay there, sleeping and partially living in the forest, only to come back to the mansion again because she had friends there. She tried to avoid those she attacked while still joined with the symbiote, though Spider-Man seemed to have been able to get close to her anyway. He ceased to show up shortly after she found out who he really was, and Renafel found herself missing him, much to her dismay, and took his extended absense personally.

She gradually did manage to get at least partially over her guilt enough to stay in the mansion and start "mingling" again. Didn't last. Renafel aruptly vanished again, teleported back to Dr. Doom's palace. Doom then offered her the return of her symbiote "cleansed to a newborn state". After a bit of talking and whatnot, Renafel finally took it back, and semi true to his word, the symbiote was indeed in a newborn type state, even though it did force a bonding with her later on. That symbiote didn't last however as S.Sabertooth showed up, specifically to hunt S.Renafel. He attacked her, then teleported him and her away to the default of Doom's castle before help could do anything, where he pinned her and his symbiote ate her's, very much mentally scarring poor Rena. This is where her insanity first had its roots. After the enhanced S.Sabertooth teleported back to attack those that went to aid Renafel, Rena laid there on the floor numbly, until Dr. Doom, taking advantage of this, offered her another, stronger symbiote which she could use to fight S.Sabertooth and after eating his, Doom would seperate her symbiote from the mass to give to her. Due to her not quite right state, she eagerly excepted... oops?

After taking the new symbiote, there was a slow decline in Rena's behavior, starting with extreme moodiness, then criminal activity, til finally near the end she was downright bad, having killed people, and finally went for an all out attack on the mansion, overgrowing it with killer vines of doom to impede movement and such. To further complicate matters in the mansion, Juggernaut showed up to try and search out Wolverine. Talk about timing. Eventually during the fighting, a flaming Dragon tackled Renafel, burning her very badly, and causing most of the symbiote to seperate from Rena and beat a hasty retreat... though someone (can't remember who, sorry) vaporized it.

Renafel developed a distant, blank emotionless appearance after "losing" the second symbiote, and inside she fought visciously with a deep guilt, making her suicidal. Twice when threatened by those she attacked (first time by Dirt Bag, second by Dave) with death she just stood there, and waited for them to do it. Both times nothing came of it, however.

For awhile she kept an emotional distance from the other students, instead chosing to stay out in a tree she had claimed for her own, and "bonded with", occasionally leaving for excercise, food, the necessities or whatnot. Either during this time, or sometime earlier, Vincent hit on her, and she did develop a bit of a thing for him. But, alas, he basically dumped her after leading her on, going instead for Rena's friend, Hepa. So, she grew closer to her lil tree instead, and did the "to hell with them!" and all. Even after getting seriously hurt in the attempt to rescuse Hepatica, she still crawled feebly out to her tree, slowly starving at the base, until Ariana noticed her out there and kept her fed and tended to and whatnot as best she could, since Rena utterly refused to go back inside, and Ari was scared Rena might attack her is she tried to use force. Renafel stewed a lot in her not quite right frame of mind, legacy of both symbiotes and being hit in the head rather hard, knocked her mind a bit out of alignment... Vincent finally took her inside to get treatment; her wounds were seriously infected from not taking care of them, she was dehydrated and starved from not much touching what Ari brought, and was a complete mess.

After that drama, she finally began to recover some, even starting to crack a few jokes at people here and there.
Then her tree was smashed by Sabertooth, and she relapsed into deep depression for awhile. Great fun.

Stuff happened... things occured... bit of a fuzzy area in here, where player forgot stuff.

Now we get to a little more present time.
During an attack on the mansion, in which random mutants were taken prisoner, Renafel managed, through either stupidity or bravery, depending on how you look at it, to be one of the ones captured. She did her best to make things hell on her captors, heck, she even had two of them die for her efforts. Mwehehe. Though after awhile they wisened up, and wouldn't come in her cell anymore. Pansies.
During this time, Renafel was pulled aside, and began to be run through mind conditioning.. stuff. For some reason, one Renafel herself can't fully explain, the tactics didn't really work. She played along with it, hell, she found it all rather amusing... well, when she wasn't too fuzzy to realize what was going on, and when she wasn't temporarily convinced they were telling the truth.. but during the other times, she found it hilarious!

Since being freed from the clutches of the evil mutie haters, she returned to being a complete jerk most of the time. A select few see another side of her, but most probably don't really like her. At all.

And now, even more recent history... The symbiote had detached, and a large chunk of it had been vaporized. But getting rid of a symbiote was not so easy, especially as it had bonded with Renafel. As Dr. Doom explained to her, the symbiote was never truely gone. After getting the hell beat out of it, it had gone dorment to recover, but had always still been there, as it was bonded with her. Doom took it, did some experiments on it.. but it got away, and returned to it's bondee.
And then S.Renafel was out for revenge. Or at least out for a little chaos.

Eventually, things calmed down a bit on the Renafel front, and Rena started feeling something she didn't like: Lonliness. She took to stalking around the mansion, harassing the other mutants and playing pranks, and being a nuisance. Though she never quite got the courage to try to rejoin them fully. Just lurk about. She was gearing herself for eventually facing up to them, when KnightHawk made it a little easier for her. She was informed by him that Doctor Doom was going to be trying to aquire her soon, and her only hope WAS going back to the Mansion. Talk about your sudden inspiration.

So she went to the mansion, and after a caustious approach (and a cold reception from Iceman, a warmer greeting from Demyan who promptly got her drunk, and a medium reception from Keph) she stayed. She was rather surprised no one tried to kill her this time. So she stuck around, became buddies with Keph, got close to Sean for awhile then distant again, and was a bitch to Bobby. Though Bobby was usually a bastard back, he did have one moment of being nice.

It wasn't to last, however. She meandered out to the woods around, and during a spat with Sean which involved blood shed, Cold Touch slunk out, flash freezed the area, and made off with Sean, and unfortunately Renafel.

She was slowly going mad from isolation in a cell in Castle Doom. However, she was released from the cell and permitted to stroll around in the green house provided she agreed to wear a power inhibiting collar.

And while later, she escaped. She was skulking about Latveria, looking for a good route to leave, when abruptly she was teleported to Doctor Strange's, as she calls it, "Sanctum-something". There she found that it was Kephael who had requested Strange save her. And, a bit reluctantly, she returned with Kephael.

She slowly began to ease back into things, however kept to her bad habit of staying out in the woods instead of coming inside the Mansion, and prowling around like a crook. The people there irritated her, sparked up her aggression, so she wanted little to do with most of them. A few however did not give her much choice. These were Kephael and Chris. Kephael actively searched her out, and kept Renafel off balance between really liking him and wanting to kick his ass. Chris kept her wary as he could easily do creepy things to beat her, yet was still nice off and on. Between the two, and then later Kurt Wagner, they got her to open up some.

And with Chris, in a sporadic moment when he asked the wrong question, she had Menace briefly bond with him, showing him what a symbiote was like. Because of this moment with the brief bond, Menace has chosen Chris for a potential next hosting. However it was not something she told Chris until very recently.

Stuff with Loki...
