Name: Saigyouji Yuyuko (reverse for the western order)

Weapons:
Zippideedoda, merely carries around a pair of fans.
Powers: Yuyuko is a ghost youkai, and as such she actually has a physical form unlike most ghosts. Its not humanlike on the inside, but simply a vessel to hold her essence in. Her power in life was to invoke death on a whim, and it has carried over into her unlife, though it now requires a touch. She can exert control over other spirits in the area, has a huge reserve of spiritual power she can channel into energy attacks, and a genius level intellect (usually hidden behind a facade of forgetfulness and single-mindedness). She still has a sense of taste, and if her hunger has a bottom its never been reached

Personality/background:
Note: a tad bit longer than most of my backgrounds since its a tad more complicated then most, so if you're only looking for personality I'll stick a bit at the bottom for a quick read

Yuyuko lived in ancient japan when she was alive. She was the favored daughter of a noble, could have almost anything she asked for, and was born with natural beauty, grace, intelligence, and a supernatural ability that set her apart from the rest of humanity. Most people living in her time would of killed to switch places with her. Though they might of thought different had they known that thats exactly what Yuyuko's 'gift' was; to invoke the death of others with a thought. It was a terrible ability, and lack of control caused her to isolate herself from the rest of the world. One day, while spending yet another day in her garden, a strange person appeared before her; A woman in a dress of a style that had yet to be invented, and who could apparently move across great distances walking through strange gaps in reality. Frightened, she attempted to kill the youkai, but strangely it did not work. The strange youkai simply smirked and cocked her head to the side, saying "My, what an interesting ability you have. I've seen very few people even in my lifetime that possess it" This was odd. Obviously the demon did not fear her, yet she also did not feel threatened in its presence. "...what is your name demon?" the being simply smiled and extended a hand. "Call me Yukari" And with that, a friendship was born...

...however short lived it seemingly was. You see, within the walls of Yuyuko's father's palace, there was a cherry tree, one of the largest in all of Japan and easily one of the most beautiful. People would come from all over the massive island to gaze upon it, the tree actually serving as one of the lord's main sources of income. The feelings people felt about it were so great, that the tree began to develop a sentience of its own. And not a nice one at that. Craving more power, it used its energy to send out waves of sleepy pleasantness to all those around. Yuyuko's father was one of its first victims, and after wandering to the tree and falling asleep under its spiritual caress, the evil youkai sucked his life energy away, along with many of his servants. Yuyuko herself had been asleep at the time, the waves causing nightmares instead of pleasure to her mind, perhaps due to her different nature. She awoken, confused as to why she had had such horrible dreams.... and walked out to the grounds to see almost all the castle's residents lying dead under the tree. Confused and horrified, she came to what seemed like the only logical conclusion: that she had caused all of this in her troubled sleep. Terrified at what she had become, she quietly walked to her father's body, took his blade, and removed herself from the equation of life.

Such was the scene Yukari came to on her next visit. She had been dealing with kinks in a certain plan elsewhere in the world, and arrived tired but content with the knowledge that she would be able to share her troubles with her friend. That feeling shattered almost immediately upon reaching the castle, her ancient form easily picking up on the evil in the air. Eyes narrowed, she made her way inside. No one was there to witness her reaction to the scene, but there are a few who know the results. Seeing the tree and the evil it had caused, she decided to seal it to the netherworld of the land she was creating. And as the final piece of the seal, she used her friend's soul, so as to save her the pain of being reincarnated again with terrible ability in tow

(not done yet, but lazing out for now. Will add Yuyuko's past as a ghost later)

Weaknesses: If enough of her essence escapes her physical body, she will truly die and go back into the cycle of reincarnation, though it will replenish itself with rest. She is technically undead, so items and spells that target them include her among their possible victims
