Abilities: Rods-Unit 0 is a mutant even though he himself does not believe this and that his ability to have black rods emerge from the surrounding area around him or even his own body to use as weapons or to bring up a wall of them to defend against an attack. However, this does have a draining effect on Unit Zero and he personally dislikes having to resort to his 'abilities' thinking that his normal skills and weapons should be enough. He can also bench up to 10 tons. Finally, his suit can contort with the obvious exception of his visor, to allow rods to emerge from places such as his arms and his torso and the rest of the body that the suit covers.
Bio: Unit Zero's real name is Akiao Furunaka and it was the name he normally used as he served as a Mitsubishi F-2 pilot for the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force. But, Akiao was different from all the other pilots. Why you might ask? Well, Akiao is a mutant but he didn't know it. At least not yet. So, remaining blissfully unaware of how his future would change, one day after doing a aerial exercise he was approached by a scientist who claimed to be working for the JSDF's new secret plan:Which were to use willing test subjects to try out new 'battle-armor' that they had been trying. Akiao thought it was suspicious at first but after doing some thinking, he agreed to it. Only as they strapped him down for the tests they would soon perform upon him, did the realization hit Furunaka: These men weren't working for the JSDF at all! But, before he could voice his protest he was put under and one might have thought he was dead for how long it took him to wake up, but he did. And he was no longer the F-2 pilot of the JASDF. He was the first 'victim' of this underground scientist's' experiment to test the various armors he has made that were deemed 'unsafe' when he tried to present them to the JGSDF. This drove Dr. Kamiya to move his project underground away from prying eyes and only approached those he believed would be guilable enough to believe him. And now with Akiao's armor on, and his mentality changed to think he was the ultimate fighter. Unit Zero had been completed. Now all that was left was for him to test out his potential.
Personality: Unit Zero isn't very known to be very nice nor considering what he was made for, should he be. But, he does show mercy if he realizes the enemy he is fighting is plagued by a illness or another disability. But,if the opponent is able to get some blows in or do some damage to Unit 0 then he will start making sadistic comments to distract from the fact that he was injured, when in his mind he is supposed to be the ultimate fighter.
