Background:

A time ago, there was a young girl, dying and on the doorstep of hell due to the stupidity of her parents. In an odd twist of fate, the ruler of this world's hell was near the gate, and, seeing the little girl, felt pity. She saved her, taking her into Makai still alive, where she raised her like the daughter she could otherwise never have. The child showed an interest in magic, and spent her days practicing the wondrous art. Then, one day, hell was invaded by two humans and two demons, seeking to destroy the city. Alice attempted to stop them, but her miniscule power was defeated. As the group moved to combat her mother, an infuriated little Alice snuck into Makai's great library, stealing a book that had been sealed off from the world in Makai. She confronted them again, her power much greater... but still, she was defeated. Mortified at the fact that she had broken her mother's rules in stealing the book and still managed to lose, she fled makai for the real world. There, she sought a way to defeat the so called heroes, before seeing a simple puppet show in the village. It... amazed her how the dimunative dolls could be used to tell stories. She took up the art herself, finding that she had an incredible knack for it, especially when she used magic. She practiced and practiced, until one day she was so skilled that she could control hundreds of dolls at once with the movement of a single hand. It was at this point she noticed that she was no longer human, but something different, somthing stronger; A youkai magician, and an incredibly powerful one at that


personality:
Alice is a girl who enjoys the finer things in life, but also the work that goes into them. She loves gourmet food, but puts the effort into cooking herself. She enjoys giving her children fancy clothing, and takes the time to make each individual doll's dress. The thing she pursues the most perfection in is her puppetry. It has gotten to the point to where the dolls almost seem to act on their own, though whether they have gained a sort of sentience or are merely acting upon Alice's own subconscious thoughts and actions is a secret she doesn't share

weaknesses:

Alice still carries some baggage from the loss at the gates of Makai. She never fights at full strength, because to do so and lose would be a completely crushing blow to her psyche
