She is from the Ruling Mubarak (meaning blessed one) family, a line of women skilled as assassins; great archers from any distance, very good with the curved blade of the scimitar when bows are useless and when weapons are few, broken or unneeded, they have vast knowledge of the body’s pressure point system. This enables them to paralyze any part of an opponent’s body, even to the point of death if the area is near a vital organ. Her family was founded over 700 years ago from a group of three sisters who lived in the desert regions, their family warred with others for many generations until they became skilled assassins and won over the other families. Those sisters led the final battle that brought victory and passed their skills down to their daughters only. Sickness, 300 years or so after the sisters, wiped out most of the family’s population...leaving only one daughter of the matriarch. Arsinoe is from this line, the second daughter of the current matriarch, the skilled, smart daughter whom her mother trained. Her oldest sister is the “separated” one, free from war and fighting…pampered and slightly indolent.

Their family only ever wants two daughters, to make sure skills can be honed and perfected instead of mass produced, as their family are often hired for tough jobs, war intelligence and of course, assassinations.
