BRIEF HISTORY
Agent Muller has a long and illustrious service record
from his time as a System Agent. Indeed his record of kills, captures and
successful missions is a record nearly unmatched in the history of the
Matrix, perhaps only equalled by the record of his parter, Agent Stone. Muller
currently commands the Northeastern United States server within the Matrix,
taking it over early in his life from a holdover Agent from an older version
of the Matrix. Through his leadership, the Northeast is one of the most efficiently
run servers in the Matrix, and though the System maintains a central Command and
Control center in downtown Manhattan, Muller has overseen the decentralization
of the entire command structure so that he may focus on the New York
Metropolitan area, without having to worry about other parts under his
jurisdiction.
Agent Muller was programmed at the start of the current Matrix with his
counterpart Agent Stone, some 80 years ago. Since then, the pair has been
responsible for the deaths of many Exiles and Rebels. They have seen many
less-efficient Agent's come and go, but they have remained; Their brutal
efficiency has seen them through many system-wide updates. Though he is now
in a command position, Muller started his life as a speed-based Agent, which still
shows through when he is engaged in melee combat.
Agent Muller himself was specifically designed to be patient and methodical, a more
"classical" approach to Agent design by his programmer, Dr. Bancroft,
and was given the capacity for tactical and strategic thinking. This is why
he heads up the Northeastern U.S. server, his design features made
him the prime choice for senior-Agent. He is very collected and, unlike many
of his contemporaries, near-impossible to anger. Thus, he doesn't make stupid
mistakes in combat, and to-date he has never gone into a blind fury like other
Agent's. Agent Muller would superficially appear to be quite robotic, but for anyone
who has had to talk to him, they would find that he is actually quite open and
surprisingly personable, with a sarcastic sense of humour, traits he has
developed, rather than being programmed with them.
He is often frustrated by his colleagues affinity toward violence-
where they are agressive, Agent Muller is patient and doesn't usually
go for an outright kill. Muller prefers to out-think his enemies to take them
out (or "manage" them, as he would say), rather than steamroll them as many of
his fellow Agent's would. Though this means he does not always get the kill,
Muller's concern isn't another tally on his record; he is only concerned
with the safety and preservation of the System. This approach has given him quite a
reputation as a force to really fear, as many a Rebel or Exile have found themselves
overwhelmed by Muller.
