They are equipped with night vision and thermal imaging scopes (With optional Night Vision), vibro-bayonets, grenade launchers, and feature an attached glowrod for aided vision. The rifles too have been reinforced to be protected against accidental damage of the kind that might occur when the bayonet is being put to use. Additionally, they have had their power output increased, and deal additional damage when they hit a target. Remote Droids Simple siting droids, remote droids go up and scan the area with a holocam, broadcasting the results back to a users datapad. They can remain airborne for about one minute, after which they will be able to land, but will need to be recharged before being used again. They do not aid in perception checks, however they do have lowlight vision, allowing them to ignore concealment based on darkness. They have no attack or combat capabilities. Ranger Armor The Ranger armor used by the squad is a curious blend of technologies. Interlaced into the armor is a curious material known as "shadowsilk" which absorbs light and sight. The armor is painted a matte black, and into it several blaster-absorbant plants have been sewn. The overall affect is a light armor set that absorbs some damage and helps hide the user without limiting their combat capabilites at all. Rounding off the armor is a helmet package in the form of a visor commlink breath mask. This helmet package does not full enclose the users head, necessary to aid in the cooling of the user as the armor has no built in cooling features. The helment package includes 180 degree scanable vision, scrambled long range commlink channels, and can be linked to remote droids for additional viewing. They also have a built in x10 zoom, and can be interfaced with a computer in place of a screen or monitor, though the user becomes effecticly blind when this option is used. Character History Antarian is a Rebel Alliance Solider through and through. He grew up hunting with his father, a member of the First Sun Mobile Regiment, and learned the tools of the trade from him. However, the First Sun Mobile Regiment ways, frought with violence and war for the sake of money did not appeal to him in the slightest. Somewhat idealistic, he wanted a noble cause to server: and so he was born into the ebel Alliance. When he was Seventeen, his Father sold his sister into slavery to pay off a debt to a rival First Sun Mobile Regiment division. As a result, Antarian renounced his father and left the family. However, he carries with him a whole host of knowledge about their weapons, tactics, skills and capabilities that make him their equal on any battlefield, even one of their choosing. He excelled at sharpshooting as a basic infantry soldier, and so was sent off for 'special training'. It was during this time he came to the attention of Hiriam Drayson, then director of Intelligence for the Rebel Alliance. Though there was no formal contact between the two men, Drayson made a note of the up and coming soldier and started a file at the RI (Rebel Intelligence). Antarian was sent back to his unit vastly more skilled then ever before. He had no equal in his division, even at his base. And soon he was out shooting the other heads of units at Sector competitions. Antarian tended to be, growing up and once he reached the military, to be somewhat quiet and reserved. He made friends easily, and was well liked by everyone - but close to no one. Gradually, others like him gravitated to him, and to his unit. He was offered posting to a training assignment, along with a significant increase in pay but declined. When asked why he explained that his abilities and talents were not things that could be taught, but pure instinct for him, and his posting to his unit was allowed to continue. As a result of this, he was allowed to create a "Special Operations Squad" within his battalion. A group of select men, with select skills, who could be called on in an emergency to do whatever was necessary. Though unaware of it, this set of orders was suggested by none other then Drayson himself. The unit was quickly put to the test. Two planets had gone to war, and their Infantry Battalion was inserted to hold the spaceport pending the arrivial of more Rebel Alliance Troops. During the battle the spaceport fell under heavy attack - Antarian and his team were sent behind enemy lines, to destroy the artillery barraging the spaceport. Not only was the artillery destroyed, but their captured the enemies command center and issued false orders redirecting critical units that were to reinforce the units already attacking the spaceport. Antarian had the foresite to walk out with a copy of the enemies battleplan, forever endearing him to his Commanders and the RI. Not long after, his Battalion was inserted to extract a high profile target from a non-aligned world. Prior to the mission, Antarian was taken aside by the RI and given seperate instructions to also extract the targets assistant, and a copy of their latest compute files. This continued for quite a while - he and his team would be sent on a military assignment, and along the way the RI would request special 'favors' of the unit. They quickly became an elite - if somewhat open secret - unit in the military, favored by all to do the quick jobs without complaining. They began to develop their own inventory of special weapons, private affairs bought from their salaries that did their jobs better then the military issue rifles. And better gear too - jet packs, jump boots - and then the culmination when Alliance Procurement told them to store it off base - a tramp freighter for the squad to operate out of when deployed on covert assignments. The squad follows their leader - their leader follows, and will always follow, the Alliance. Loyal to a fault, he is the perfect soldier. The Shadow Stalker Military-grade Shields Y-Wing Speed Two Turreted Heavy Ion Cannons Tractor Beam 12 Passengers Large Smuggling Hold Integrated Astromech The Squad Dekker Saveint Dekker is the squads heavy weapons expert. He often carries the squads heavy repeating blaster rifle into action, laying down cover fire and heavy suppression fire when the squad needs it. Before joining Special Forces, Dekker served with the Corulag Defense League as a Squad Commander. However, he felt his troops were becoming too complacent under his command, and so requested reassignment. When he was refused, he transferred out of the CDL, and joined the Rebel Alliance. He is the olders member of the squad, and it is known that he married and had children at some point. However, his current relationship with his children is tense, as their mother left some years before, and being on active deployment it was impossible for him to take care of them. Dekker brings a maturity and professionalism to an otherwise rough and tumble group. Heavy Repeating Blaster Rifle, Personal Power Generator, 2 Frag Grenades Juddar Saines Juddar is the daughter of a very prominent - and very noble - Alderaanian family. Her identity is secret (Saines is not her last name) from almost everyone - except Antarian. She joined the Rebel Alliance looking to serve the Alliance her parents loved with their full support. Though since then they have kept her a secret, least her identity put her unit (or vice versa their family) in danger. Juddar is in love with Antarian, a feeling he reciporacates, but they have been unable to pursure a relationship due to their working closely together. Juddar serves as the units sniper/spotter, calling in air and artillery strikes and operating in the background to support their others. She is very good natured, and tends to form the heart of the squad. SoroSuub X-45 Sniper Rifle (with Scope), Camo Cloak, 4 Medpacs, 2 Remote Droids Capp Drower Capp was a farmboy from Agamar. He grew up hunting in the native forests - his stealth skills and weapons handling are second to none. Capp usually takes point for the squad, leading them into and out of deadly traps and danger with extreme skill. He tends to be very quiet and soft spoken. Antarian recruited him when he started his squad - he had already worked with his infantry unit before, and had discovered that his commander was an idiot. He was making poor use of Capp's skills, and Capp jumped at the chance to leave his command and operate somewhere where his unique talents would be put to better work. Capps parents were rights activists on Agamar, attempting to get the local workers to use human labor instead of droid labor, as they believed people only used droids because they were lazy, and as sentient creatures droids deserved beter treatement. Capp thus grew up believing all creatures are equally deserving of all rights. Heavy Blaster Rifles (Bayonet, Scope, Grenade Launcher, Glowrod), 2 Ion Grenades, 2 Stun Grenades, 2 Medpacs, 4 Power Packs Arriurradik Arriurradik was rescued from slavers during one of the Squads operations. Though they ignored the majority of the slaves, Capp noticied a single Wookiee locked inside a torture device. He took a moment to free the Wookiee, being unaware of the consequences. As a result, Arriuuradik swore a lifedebt to Capp, one that he has since extended to the majority of the squad (With the exception of Solyn). The unit has found on more then one occasin having a Wookiee along is a benefit, not a curse. Wookiee Bowcaster (Scope, glowrod), 2 Ion Grenandes, 2 Stun Grenades, Badloier (Qurrls), 4 Medpacs Jona ?????? Jona was working for Rebel Alliance Supply and Procrument when he started to notice some irregularities. These irregularities were Special Forces hiding their budget in the regular over-bloated budge of the Republic military. Jona - an expert at Computer Security - backtracked the source of the irregularities, and eventually discovered the existance of Antarian's squad. Though the squad itself was not a secret, some of it's operations were - and on one of them Jona tagged along. It just happened that the Squad ran into heavier then normal security in the form of electronics, and Jona proved his worth. Antarian outfitted him, and he 'disappeared' from his post in S&P to join the Special Forces. Jona is somewhat of the odd man out with the Squad, he's more often found talking to a computer then his squad mates, though he speaks of them (and they of him) with fondness, as he has saved the squad as many times as they have saved his life.
