To start, it is almost a kilometer longer, which allows the transport of more troops, supplies, support craft -- fighters and ground assault vehicles -- and, most importantly, munitions. Gone are the days where laserbolts and ion cannons can turn a fight around. With that line of thinking in mind, we added four additional warhead launchers to the Camelot cruiser, an upgrade from the standard two that came with the earlier Imperial-class vessel. Also, we have greatly increased the shield capacity, making the strength of the shields almost four times that of the older star destroyers. This was, of course, because of the particular weapon of choice of the Ne'kressi invaders -- plasma, something that we hadn't seen before. It took time, research, and collaboration with our allies to find a way to create an effective shield system that could take the brunt of a Ne'Kressis broadside, if you will, and I think that we have effectively accomplished our task in creating that. Next, you all can obviously see the gravity well generators that dot the sides of the ship. These are very important. Ne'Kressi vessels travel in what is known as "phase space." It is faster and much more effective than our form of travel, that is, hyperspace. We have found, though, that when a vessel in partially in phase-mode, be it entering or exiting phase-space, that it is terribly open to assault by gravatic anomalies, and that they can be very damaging to the vessel. *exhales* Whew.

Far from the bone-white of other star destroyers, its hull is covered in a matte black coat. Obviously, the ship is impossible to miss when it is close up but, farther out, the plan is for it to blend into the blackness of space. Shields generators dot the hull of the ship, along with the bristling spines of turbolaser batteries that seem to wave to the cameras as the ship glides smoothly past.
