[Delete] | Lets be clear Soul Calibur fans, if anything the world of Soul Calibur is not one for the historically accurate. The closest we have to it all that somewhere in between 1650-1700, Darth Vader came down to visit. xD
Nah, but seriously it makes for a more flexible sort of story. Yet we must ask ourselves, just what IS the history of this world? Well...In short, something like this.
Europe: Europe remains somewhere stuck in between the classic stories of Middle Ages fantasy and Renaissance. With dragons and such while rare, still treated as reality along with real-world characters like Leonardo Da Vinci making a fortune with his arts and inventions at the same time. If your character is a bold, classic knight/sorceror who seeks to right the wrongs or a black hearted knight who seeks dominion himself, this is a good place to start.
Africa: Ah, Africa. Home of Egypt, the Middle East. A place of exotic mystery, wonderful sunsets and a collection of tribes and magic as well as more...Exotic kinds of adventures. If your character is a wanderer with a taste for sun and jungle madness, come aboard! We got all you'll need.
Asia: Home of the Martial artists, philosophers...Practioners of Sword and mind alike. Where Samurai walk the streets and Ninja stalk the night. Where the Jian whips through the air in counter the the heavy glaive. Mystery and intrigue await you here, in this world where anyone could be an enemy.

[Delete] | The following are races which had shown up thus far over the course of the RPs. More will follow in time.
Humans: The most widespread obviously, and certainly the most resilient. Though with events as they are, it is fast becoming obvious that they are not alone in this world....
Elves: The Fair Folk. The Fae. Call them what you want. Generally considered to be mainly myth by the world, something they actively cultivate though on occasion you meet an adventurous exception to the rule. Who leaves their forest glades and end up sometimes doing the most wonderous things. One example, being the one elf who bore a child with a human lover....Who ended up founding Wolfkrone. All members of the Fae however answer to the Lord of the Third Race, who reigns from the Island of Avalon.
Goblin Horde: Trolls, orcs, hobgoblins....Whatever you may call them, all spring from the same, foul underground race whose mischief ranges from simple pranks to outright viciousness. Its stronger members, raging out in open warfare with whatever evil warlord bends to their will. Though it is rumored that the lesser goblins and those who wish only for peace are reigned over by a somewhat eccentric Fae who keeps to himself....
Dragons:On the whole, dragons are rare beings whose legendary status are matched only by their greed. Their lust for power and the like, though there are exceptions to the rules.
Undead: Mainly tools of magical practioners and only a select few like Vampires having their mind intact. |
