-Biography-
A fairly recently born Symbiote whose parent had birthed the Symbiote on the native homeworld of Klyntar, and the unborn Symbiote's egg had been hidden inside of a fairly large rock as a way of ensuring that the Symbiote would be born safely. However, a space-faring alien race visited the planet and took some rock samples as part of an interplanetary research development project to determine which world was suited for colonization. Unbeknownst to the visitors, they had picked up a stowaway, and were well on their way to survey another world.
With many samples collected from many planets, the visitor's research continued on but they had detected an anomaly from within the rock which had been picked up from Klyntar, picking up signs of life from within. Soon, the Symbiote had hatched and the visitors realized that the creature was a breach in security and therefore a bio-hazard. It was immediately decided that the creature and the rock sample, should be jettisoned from the vessel, left to float aimlessly in space. However, by the time they had jettisoned the rock and it's stowaway, the visitors were already passing by an underdeveloped backwater planet, Spyradion.
The rock soon breached atmosphere of the planet, most of it's mass burning upon entry but the Symbiote was protected inside. After making entry and crash landing into the lake, the Symbiote vacated it's protective rock and soon ventured from the lake to seek a suitable host. It wasn't long until the extraterrestrial had sensed a nearby life form, also not native to the world of Spyradion-- a mutant Turtle by the name of Giger Van Gogh. As the Turtle was meditating, and sensing that he was the only life form, the Klyntar bonded and formed a Symbiosis with the mutant Turtle, granting him a boost in his own abilities as well as new abilities which he had never possessed before.
With the two forming a Symbiosis, Giger Van Gogh and the Symbiote had already established their combined strength when they had killed Bandus, the Tyrant King of Bandilstat. But realizing that the Symbiote was impulsive and aggressive in nature-- Giger aimed to instill patience and control over the Symbiote through his training in the art of Ninjutsu, and intense meditation.
Given the name of Shellshock by Giger, the Symbiote aims to become even stronger and to live up to it's own expectations, and that of it's host.
-=Powers and Abilities=-
Camouflage - The Symbiote is more then capable of camouflage. It can not only shape-shift into the form of other clothing and mimic other people, but it can also change it's color to blend within it's surroundings. Anything the host wills, the Symbiote can mimic.
Stretching and Deforming - It's known that the Symbiote can stretch and deform itself, it is capable to perform this ability while bonded with a host. The alien can expand to any size as long as they have something to grow on such as a host or an object. Symbiotes can get inside of small areas such as electric wires and the insides of cars and completely disable them.
Constituent Matter Generation - Shellshock can also use the same substance comprising itself in the form of constituent black matter or slime, and uses it in this method for lethal force against enemies. It can send a part of itself and direct its movements into a victim's body, smothering them from the inside.
Constituent Matter Manipulation - A subset ability of Shape-Shifting. The Symbiote is capable of shape-shifting parts of itself and it's host body to form weapons. So far, Giger and the Symbiote are able to form claws, sharpened teeth and a spiked shell.
Genetic Memory - The Symbiote possesses some psychic ability, making it capable of obtaining information from its hosts and even other people and Symbiotes simply by touch; The symbiote is capable of recalling information from previous hosts. As Giger is Shellshock's only notable host, it has gathered much information from the Turtle's memories. It can however, be forced to forget information if the symbiote is inflicted with heavy trauma.
Adaptability - Shellshock is also capable of surviving in harmful areas for long periods of time such as underwater or in toxic gases, the Symbiote filtering breathable air to the host. Also, the Symbiote becomes stronger after each successive bonding is done with a host.
Parasitic Inheritance - The alien can copy the powers and abilities of other beings. It has been recently discovered, that the Symbiote can recall and mimic the powers and abilities of previous hosts. However, as Giger is it's only current host, it has yet to copy the powers and attributes of other hosts through bonding.
Super-Sense - Alternatively known as Danger Sense or Spider-Sense. Shellshock also possesses an extrasensory ability similar to a Spider-Sense. This response is not as complicated as the Spider-Sense since the alien costume can detect danger from every direction and conduct it's host in plenty of time. It's a lot more efficient than a Spider-Sense because it takes less time to sense the danger, and Giger's honed reflexes are faster because they are enhanced by the alien costume.
Superhuman Strength - Before coming into contact with the Symbiote, Giger Van Gogh's mutation and training allowed him to press up to one thousand pounds. One bonded, the Symbiote bolstered it's host strength up to high end superhuman levels. The Symbiote allows it's host to press up to seventy five tons, however this is not the Symbiote's true limit. It can increase it's strength by adding more mass and bulk to achieve higher limitations.
Superhuman Durability - Prior to bonding with the Symbiote, Giger's natural body armor allowed him to withstand extreme blunt force trauma, edged weapons, and gunfire. This is further enhanced by the Symbiote to high degrees. When distributed at a typical thickness over Giger's body, the symbiote is capable of absorbing bullets from weapons firing and withstand attacks from super powered individuals. The Symbiote is however particularly vulnerable to both sonic and heat-based attacks. However, through repeated exposure to flame and sound, the Symbiote has developed a low to moderate resistance against heat and sonic based attacks.
Superhuman Speed - The Symbiote, like many others of it's kind imbues it's host with superhuman speed. This also extends to reflexes as well. The Symbiote is also fast enough to catch up to rapid gunfire, moving up to 1,500 MPH, though this is likely to last short burst.
Wall-Crawling - The alien costume also capable of the ability to cling to walls by controlling the flux of inter-atomic attraction between molecular boundary layers. This allows the host to climb on surfaces which would require specialized climbing equipment without the need for them.
Web-Generation - The host can shoot strands of the alien's substance in the form of "webbing" at high pressure up to a distance of seventy feet. The alien's substance seems to be composed of tough, flexible fibers of organic polymers, which regenerate swiftly after "shedding." The strands have extraordinary adhesive properties, which diminish rapidly once they abandon their living source. After about three hours, with no source to nourish them, the strands dry up like dead skin and dissolve into a powder. The strands possess a tensile strength of 125 pounds per square millimeter of cross section. If too much webbing is generated, the host will be left vulnerable as the Symbiote is weakened and unable to replenish his lost mass for a short period of time. Giger prefers to use his mechanical web-shooters, so this ability is seldom used.
Healing Factor - Additionally, the Symbiote is capable of healing injuries in the host at a faster rate than normal healing allows. The Symbiote is also capable of healing injuries and illnesses that current medical care cannot such as cancer. This healing factor can enabled it's host to recover from injuries that would be considered lethal.
