05563,Pippin: ::Flutters in::
MSG: Dawn sent a message to Qmaster.
fff14,Alister Lightvault: ((Hm))
df8d3,Ezekiel Cogsworth: ((*thuds into chat*))
ac8dd,Araceli Sky: ((*bleary eyed stare into the chat*))
a5f75,Qmaster: Got ya.
40901, Victoria Holt : (Mayhaps. I'm just testing the waters, really. I usually like to get a feel of a character before registering..To see if they'd be worth the time or not.)
a5f75,Qmaster: Are you wanting me to register that?
40901, Victoria Holt : (*Test*)
ac8dd,Araceli Sky: ((Catch you later!))
05563,Pippin: Night, chickadee. Thanks for the kick-ass rp.
2ff45,Lily Emerson : [ No worries! ::Hits the pause button:: ]
ac8dd,Araceli Sky: ((Ah my. I am sorry, my dear. But I should probably get to bed.))
ac8dd,Araceli Sky: Araceli only paused to gather up the discarded saddle before following inside. Oh my goodness. The place was a sad sight. Araceli considers making an offer to help clean, before discarding it. Honestly, Araceli had enough on her own plate without worrying about, well, what was likely a losing cause. How could one so prim and neat, with such elegance about her and nice clothing, have such a gloomy little place like this? Did she spend all her funds on clothing? "I am sure with some love and time you could get this place looking nice." Araceli was quite proud of herself for keeping the doubt she felt out of her voice. She looks around the place almost nervously. She looks toward the large stacks of books, and makes a note to keep far away. She could easily see herself bumping one and sending books everywhere. She had a brief mental image of being crushed under a wall of books as she stares around at the piles and general untidiness.
2ff45,Lily Emerson : Speaking of almost normal… The angelic smile faltered at the corners, quickly becoming sheepish, and a hand came up to fuss over a curl that had fallen from the bun net. “Oh, I don’t have a thing to wear for it. Seems I need to go shopping sooner than I’d planned…” Trailing away, Lily chuckled softly and took Araceli’s hand into her own, apparently not so stiff as to deny basic physical contact. After all, she had already felt up her legs. More or less. This wouldn’t kill anyone. “Of course, once you see inside, you can imagine how long it’ll be before I do!” And indeed, once the fiery-haired girl would step through the threshold, it wouldn’t have been unreasonable of her to back right out. The lighting was low in the shop, the reprieve being only a few lanterns, giving it a rather gloomy appearance. It might have had something to do with the large windows on either side of the door still being boarded up. Bookcases in dire need of polish lined every inch of wall save for a thin door in the back. Only a few held any books, the rest of which had been stacked outrageously high in well over a dozen groups littering the room. Beside a large desk cluttered with papers, ink pots, quills, scales, and who knew what else stood the only real thing that seemed to be of any worth; a gorgeously kempt and obviously valuable cello propped up in a gilded stand, the light of a lantern hanging overhead bringing up the high polish the bookcases lacked. Silvery wisps of dust could be seen swirling through the thin rays of sunlight that did manage to sneak in. Lily sighed, probably stirring up even more. “Well, it’s not much to look at, but…a little love and a broom might fix that.” There was a short pause. "...Maybe."
40901,Morgue: I love gunpoint for the sheer snarkiness of it. You can be as serious or as smartass as you want to be..It's unfortunately a very short game.
df8d3,Ezekiel Cogsworth: ((nah far nerdtastic then age of empire.. i wont go into it.. haha))
ac8dd,Araceli Sky: Araceli really did not fully know what to make of the woman. She went between almost normal to, well, very uptight. It was fascinating to watch. Araceli catches herself staring at the other woman, and clears her throat, a bit less daintily, before offering a warm smile. "Well, if you want to fly sometime I can take you for a couple rounds about the city. I do have to periodically take my birds out to stretch their wings." She considers the offer, glancing down to the saddle she discarded, then back to the lady. "I suppose it would not hurt to linger a little while.."
40901,Morgue: Hum. Makes me want to erase my data for Gunpoint and play it again.
a5f75,Qmaster: Did someone say strategy? Makes me want to play Age of Empires.
2ff45,Lily Emerson : “Oh, that sounds lovely.” Lily murmured dreamily, clasping her hands together in a girlish display. But once the faraway haze that overwhelmed the intensity cleared from her eyes, she instantly corrected herself by folding them primly over her lap. A single hand abruptly covered her mouth so that she might daintily clear her throat before it was replaced. “I believe I have a few bestiaries that include chocobos, and other compendiums. Though, I don’t think they’d do much in the hands of an expert.” A serene smile brought life to her face then, slightly disrupting the eerie resemblance of a coldly beautiful marble statue. “And here I go on rattling about books already. Is your afternoon free, Miss Sky? I’d love it if you joined me for a cup of tea and biscuits. It’s the very least I can do in return for your help.”
df8d3,Ezekiel Cogsworth: (( damn my nerdiness and love of strategy ))
ac8dd,Araceli Sky: ((Oh! Spaced out! I do not mind anyone joining.))
ebdd1,Doctor E. Klein: Oh dear..Oh my.. What a pitiful thing, falling down a flight of stairs.. Such clumsiness should never have such a deadly consequence..! *Hip bumps the NPC headfirst down the stairs.*
a5f75,Qmaster: I guess that doesn't really answer your question does it? There is a caretaker for the cemetery but as for the city coroner or mortician it is just an NPC for now so she could potentially handle that spot if say something were to befall the NPC coroner.
ac8dd,Araceli Sky: The lady had quite the dainty step, gliding down that ladder. Araceli silently marveled over how elegantly the lady did, well, everything it seemed so far. It was like a noblewoman decided to run away and sells books. ..Alright, that is a little ridiculous, even for my imagination. Still, the lady made her feel like she was a clumsy oaf standing beside her. "I..." She pauses briefly as she comes face to face with that intense stare. "..aid in the raising, training, and selling of chocobos." Good lord the woman had a gaze on her. She could likely quell an Inquisitor with those eyes. "So I am often in the sky, hence the name being fitting." I mean seriously, that was an uncomfortably intense gaze. The lady definitely was fitting more to that runaway noble fantasy.
ebdd1,Doctor E. Klein: (Hum..I suppose..Maybe I should get to building a new character. Having only Ellie gets a little repetitive.)
a5f75,Qmaster: Actually, on second thought I think I'm done with VanBrauer for the night but I could rp one of my other characters if someone wanted. As for the undertaker yes there is already a character running the cemetery.
ebdd1,Doctor E. Klein: (Well, I figured it would be rather useful of Ellie to get her into securing a spot of handling the dead..So that if any other corpses just decide to "get up and walk off", she could handle it. *lol.* I wouldn't want to intervene, Lily. Thank you kindly for the offer.)
95612,Abraham Voltair VanBrauer : ((Well I'll still be around for a while if anyone needs anything or wants to rp.))
2ff45,Lily Emerson : [ I don't mind if you join us, Ellie, long as Araceli doesn't. ]
95612,Abraham Voltair VanBrauer : *He nods. Perhaps holding off was a better idea so that they could be a bit more prepared for going down into the catacombs again. As such he nods in agreement. Deciding he would indeed take miss Jackson up on her offer he would leave the map there in the study and go back to the Inn to gather his belongings and inform Maggie that he was checking out of his room for now so that she could book some other guest in it. Once all of his things were gathered he hauled them back to miss Jackson's house and was shown to one of the guest rooms by her house maid miss Annabelle. Thanking the woman for showing him to his room he would settle in and put his things away then head back down to miss Jackson's father's study to look over the map again. He would spend the better part of the night pouring over the map and looking through some of the books in the study to refresh his memory about certain things before finally becoming tired enough to head to bed.**Fade.**
2ff45,Lily Emerson : “Oh?” She said, easing the thick wooden sign onto the decorative hooks. Much like the small shop it had been leaning against, it was fairly plain and nondescript, the only words being ‘Bookshop’ skillfully painted on in dark green and gold. “And what profession is that, I wonder?” Once she finally adjusted the sign to hang just the way she liked, Lily would toss the hammer aside with a muffled thunk into the dirt, and gently brace her hand against Araceli’s shoulder so that she might carefully make her way down. Her free hand held her skirt up away from her feet, as though she were stepping out of a carriage like a high-born lady. Now that they stood face to face, Lily’s gaze would hold hers like a cage of blue fire. She had the look of one terribly intense, despite her overall primness.
ebdd1,Doctor E. Klein: (Otherwise, if it's an NPC, I think I might have Ellie barge in and take over, because I think it could be fun. *lol.*)
ebdd1,Doctor E. Klein: (Hm.. Is there a current official undertaker in this particular area?)
95612,Abraham Voltair VanBrauer : ((Night.))
8025b,Abigail Jackson: ((Goodnight everyone))
8025b,Abigail Jackson: I will have to do as you suggested as this home contains many secrets and I wish to keep such that way and you are more then welcome to stay here. My father still keeps two guest rooms upstairs in case he has company it will save you some coins and annabelle I am sure would be happy to tend to something other then me. *Moves to pick up a few bolts that where tucked away in a tin jar on the shelf* I think perhaps tho are adventures to the catacombs should wait till morning as it is never wise to travel below at night and even during the day it is dangerous. That will give us time to gather everything we need and perhaps figure out which tunnels to take as I do not not wish to be lost in such if we are divided by some chance.
ebdd1,Doctor E. Klein: (*Settles in and watches.*)
ac8dd,Araceli Sky: Araceli was so often in the company of gigantic birds that the looks they were getting now was rather mild in comparison to the outright staring she was used to. She carefully releases the ladder to pluck up the indicated sign and pass it upward. "I believe it is, but I do not recall from where. I do know it means 'altar of the sky', or 'altar of heaven'." She retakes her hold once the sign is passed off. "Either way, it suits my profession."
