edb7e, Noname: ! Gasp
edb7e, Noname: faf
edb7e, ˙Karu: Oh .
80bbf, Noname: /undo
da94b, Aressa: I am confused as to what you're talking about. o.o
b508c, K: Aressa stahp. Let people be wherever they wanna be.
da94b, Aressa: Note, I was a jerk in saying the things below.
419ca, Noname: http://boards.4chan.org/co/thread/93455533/lol
9b3dd, Aressa: Welp, this place hasn't seen much activity. Methinks PMC has finally begun to quietly drift away. As a note, whomever wants to, can totally just come to Mobius! Everyone is welcome!
b5c59, Noname: ORAORAORA!
8dc4a, Noname: Happy Birthday Carmen!
bc7e3, Noname: OH GOSH SO MUCH FIRE EMBLEM SO HYYYYPEEEEE!
e8b77, El Duderino: I dunno if Blitz even checks in here, though I feel certain he's Big Boss, there needs to be a JoJo RP chatroom since JoJo's bizarre adventure is so popular. I've even made like 4 possible OC stands and abilities.
e8b77, El Duderino: Well I hope you Mobius folks enjoy your RPs in there, and hopefully everyone in there will get along
c2b47, Aressa: Whoo, stuff may be happening in Mobius soon, although I guess Sean wants to start fresh, curiously.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: Well, you've made it clear this is not for you, but this phase of these particular games is fun for me, as well.
c2b47, Aressa: It really shouldn't be this difficult to have fun in roleplay. Uuuugh.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: I save my Mass Effect fantasies for when I'm building "racial packages" in Eclipse Phase. The system's core setting is based around transhumanism, but you can apply the different augmentations to build a wide variety of aliens instead.
d8b22, ˙Big Boss: I thought you were talking about Mass Effect Andromeda when I read about the Pathfinder *smokes*
4af1c, Tedmeister: Kobolds. If you haven't read the story of Tucker's Kobolds, do yourself a favour, and read it now.
c2b47, Aressa: I adore Kobolds.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: My current Pathfinder setting is the result of a sort of magical cataclysm a thousand years back which was the source of the various races everyone now knows. Half-elementals have become a commonplace thing.
4af1c, Tedmeister: The game's called RuneQuest, and the default setting, Glorantha, has such rich lore, it rivals Middle Earth!
4af1c, Tedmeister: It's not D&D, but in one RPG that I rather enjoy, Ducks are a playable race. I kid you not.
4af1c, Tedmeister: If the DM is creative enough, sure! There are a shitload of sourcebooks that introduce a plethora of races, not at all counting the unofficial stuff in Dragon Magazine.
c2b47, Aressa: Dwarf = Squat muscular human, Elf = Tall and thing human with pointy ears, Halfling = Small human, Gnome = Small oddly proportioned human, Half Orc = Big primitive human.
edb7e, ˙Karu: Some D&D Gms allow for all sorts of characters, a friend of ours, his girlfriend, had a corgi
c2b47, Aressa: When I played D&D, I never liked any of the standard fantasy races. Fuck your different shapes and sizes of humans.
edb7e, ˙Karu: Mines just destroy kill everything, because shes bored
c2b47, Aressa: People are good at different things! I am very bad when it comes to playing heroes and reasonably mundane characters.
e8b77, El Duderino: I don't think I ever played any villains. Or when I tried I made them too heroic and sympathetic. I'm bad at it
3dd6e, Odd One Out: I've not been in the pony game for a long time, but I can see the appeal.
4af1c, Tedmeister: *Yawns, stretches*
c2b47, Aressa: http://i.imgur.com/r19w85h.png
c2b47, Aressa: I really want to use Platonia for something.
4af1c, Tedmeister: And I'm still working on my fantasy RP chat.
4af1c, Tedmeister: Well, there's something always going on at the Cantina.
edb7e, ˙Karu: Im on pause with this character.
c2b47, Aressa: I want to roleplay, but there is literally nothing going on right now.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: But you have to admit that's the kind of thing people would brush off for being too silly or "juvenile" for quite some time, in these circles.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: Nope. No fiddling. Exactly as he appears in the old cartoons.
4af1c, Tedmeister: What if Marvin the Martian met Marvin the Paranoid Android? Hmm...
c2b47, Aressa: There was that Duck Dodgers series that happened.
c2b47, Aressa: Hey, it could be done with a bit of fiddling.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: The villain that I had been considering, however... was Marvin the Martian.
c2b47, Aressa: Eggman is probably my most favorite canon Villain of all time.
c2b47, Aressa: Silly Monkey~.
edb7e, ˙Karu: Saiyukis my most powerful... maybe
3dd6e, Odd One Out: There is one character I've entertained the idea of playing, where anything was good, but I always knew there would be backlash if I did. Incidentally, also a villain, but not the sort most would expect.
c2b47, Aressa: Aressa has always been my most enjoyable character. She one of my most pwoerful characters, but she doesn't do a wholel ot with it other than show off.
4af1c, Tedmeister: Oh, playing villains is fun. Especially the absolutely vile, irredeemably evil bastards. Just pure, unadulterated hatred.
edb7e, ˙Karu: Now that I started RPing Karu again....-. it feels nice and fun and nnhhh, rping a hot blooded arrogant girl that likes to beat shit up
4af1c, Tedmeister: I've always been a sucker for a good story. I guess that's why I enjoy the whole free-form chat roleplaying.
edb7e, ˙Karu: I like playing the bad guy, but it gets a bit complicated sometimes
4af1c, Tedmeister: With that said, I find myself driven to more narrativist-style roleplaying games. Especially some of the older games that came out in D&D's wake.
c2b47, Aressa: If there's one thing I enjoy doing in roleplay, that's being a villain. I like to help drive roleplays.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: I enjoyed everything about Mage except for the players, in my case. They really drove home the problems with the more vague terms and limits being put forth, and made any activity a nightmare as a result.
c2b47, Aressa: If I had the drive, and the ability to make it nice, I would give Reality Crisis another shot.
4af1c, Tedmeister: It was absolutely fucknuts bonkers, but I loved every second of it! XD
4af1c, Tedmeister: I mean, of the oWoD, Mage: the Ascension was the one game that I rather enjoyed.
edb7e, ˙Karu: Yes, it does.
c2b47, Aressa: I generally avoid forum roleplays. It's more of a mental block than anything. I prefer chats.
4af1c, Tedmeister: Iiiiiiiiiinteresting.
edb7e, ˙Karu: test
edb7e, ˙Karu: Does this still work, I wonder
edb7e, ˙Karu: Something I found ... http://forumroleplay.com/roleplay-guides/forum-roleplaying-basics/
3dd6e, Odd One Out: Just as a matter of preference, I have found that certain groups, myself being in them, often enjoy the limitations. I'd made some pretty off-the-wall characters when anything went, but at the end of the day, a system can be used to help keep you grounded, and result in richer, if more "boring" characters that one finds more enjoyment playing.
c2b47, Aressa: I just want to have fun in roleplay, and be excited about it. The specifics involved on how to achieve that are complicated, but really not all that hard to accomplish.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: But let us move on, lest we actually begin literally arguing semantics.
e8b77, El Duderino: Run the gambit is chess terms. A malapropism on my part, though I have made mistakes like that many times in the past
e8b77, El Duderino: Misuse of words on my part. Should have been run the gamut
3dd6e, Odd One Out: I would have said "gamut," Aressa, but I believe in certain cases, "gambit" is still accurate.
edb7e, ˙Karu: Freeeeeform rp, lol. Im too used to it, I feel constricted when dice comes in to play, with exceptions, like what was in SRI
e8b77, El Duderino: Eh, only possible targets are a tv, Christmas tree or a recliner
c2b47, Aressa: Gambit?
3dd6e, Odd One Out: PJJ is acting a little odd on this end, Dude, so let us not throw it too hard without first determining what you're throwing with it.
c2b47, Aressa: I feel like a chat roleplay that basically lets you do whatever you want (Within reason) would be the best for me. I am dug deep into so mnay different fandoms.
e8b77, El Duderino: I am going to throw this phone
e8b77, El Duderino: Well, I can't be too surprised with you Aressa, from ponies to unknowable scary tentacle elder god stuffs, I've seen the gambit of some of your characters
e8b77, El Duderino: Well, I can't be too surprised with you Aressa, from ponies to unknowable scary tentacle elder god stuffs, I've seen the gambit of some of your characters
3dd6e, Odd One Out: Personally, I'm just really into different kinds of systems. Eclipse Phase, Exalted (sans errata), various forms of D&D, Pathfinder included, 7th Sea... basically, I'll read anything just to see if it'll work for what the group wants to do.
c2b47, Aressa: I like a great many different things.
e8b77, El Duderino: Damn, never took all of you for WoD folks
edb7e, ˙Karu: Never did do a character to sheet with stats for any of my characters
e8b77, El Duderino: I'm using lots of stuff from slasher because its so well done
c2b47, Aressa: Personally, my favorite manual is Slasher.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: I've actually adopted a similar policy to Pathfinder, online. Rolling slows things to a crawl, but the people I'm involved with like using the material as both reference and inspiration. As a matter of common consensus, everyone made their character sheets, and we just use them as a point of comparison.
c2b47, Aressa: Werewolf the Apocalypse was so great. The most recent one just doesn't compete.
e8b77, El Duderino: Mage is fun but some of the character stuff can be too powerful at times and that's just no fun
e8b77, El Duderino: Ah, goddamn double post
e8b77, El Duderino: The rp I'm running is freestyle but set in the universe. Because white wolf's st system sucks and no one likes stopping action to roll some dice
e8b77, El Duderino: The rp I'm running is freestyle but set in the universe. Because white wolf's st system sucks and no one likes stopping action to roll some dice
edb7e, ˙Karu: *Likes freestyle the best, with dice role for more impactful moments*
edb7e, ˙Karu: Chats went from.. freestyle to, more DnD ish type rules
3dd6e, Odd One Out: I'm just thankful I've never seen a Mage chat room, if talking World of Darkness. If ever there were a character type in any tabletop system designed around arguing over the rules, they're it.
e8b77, El Duderino: Pjj's options just don't do it for me anyone. But then again I've been reading a lot of WoD material and I've never seen a chatroom based on hunter the vigil
e8b77, El Duderino: This place is being used
c2b47, Aressa: I haven't even played any of the games. I adore the concept and read about as much of it as I can. Hate jumpscares. Hate them. Lowest form of horror in my opinion, and that's most of what the games are.
c2b47, Aressa: Beyond, you know, posting art on it.
c2b47, Aressa: You are very silly for bothering with Tumblr. XP
edb7e, ˙Karu: Tumblr ruined Five nights for me
Aressa creates a Five Nights at Freddy's character. Is the worst.
c2b47, Aressa: I kind of want Sonic and Ponies at the same time, but I am insane.
c2b47, Aressa: The stats were required for some reason, although they were never used. The requirement was eventually abandoned, but I decided to randomly keep them.
c2b47, Aressa: Karu did the original concept. A friend edited the image to give her a horn, and changed her Cutie mark. And then I got giftart.
c2b47, Aressa: http://fillydelphia.com/jchat/profile/WickedWishes
86781, Noname: Or was that a fever dream
86781, Noname: Wasnt there an Aressa pony ?
c2b47, Aressa: Ponies are so great, though. They really are.
86781, Noname: Uraku
c2b47, Aressa: I would personally even accept Abigor, for as much as a jackass he can be.
edb7e, ˙Karu: :o anyone is welcome, really
c2b47, Aressa: But anyway, anyone is welcome to join us at Mobius! Unless Karu doesn't like you, I guess. XP
c2b47, Aressa: Well, human adults are awful, miserable creatures.
86781, Noname: I find myself falling into this too. The older I get the harder it is for me to tolerate the shit other people do
c2b47, Aressa: Amusingly, MLP:FiM roleplay site.
c2b47, Aressa: I think the worst I've encountered thus far was in Fillydelphia.
86781, Noname: That's true. But I think that's a matter of age and time. Most of the players from then were children. The older we get the less patience we have for bullshit
c2b47, Aressa: In my experience, it's always there. I haven't ever had a smooth ride through any of the roleplays I've cared about. I guess the Invader Zim stuff wasn't so bad, although I had a different problem. Too many really loved my complete shitbag characters.
edb7e, ˙Karu: A few, but none were chat breaking
86781, Noname: Lets be fair. Nostalgia hinders ones ability to accurately remember things. I'm sure there was a fair bit of bullshit in the good ol' beseen days as well
c2b47, Aressa: Time to move on and try to make something better.
c2b47, Aressa: But hey, that all doesn't really matter anymore.
c2b47, Aressa: I just wanted her to take steps to make it less exclusive. Essentially, integrate it better, or at all.
c2b47, Aressa: Welcome to PMC! The place you get random original fantasy, and very little actual Sonic. To Emily's credit, she did uproot all of that, although that's not what I wanted her to do.
edb7e, ˙Karu: O.O there was also no closed RPs back then
c2b47, Aressa: Or the actual theme of the roleplay itself being tertiary to what's actually being roleplayed.
c2b47, Aressa: Like when you basically need a special written invitation to be able to interact with, or even affect a particularly group of people in a roleplay.
c2b47, Aressa: I don't usually care about chat politics. I only care when the roleplay itself suffers because of it.
edb7e, ˙Karu: I never went there, TSF was my hang out , and aSMC
4af1c, AssBlastr: I remember connecting to PSC for the first time back on the old family Amiga.
4af1c, AssBlastr: Twats. Plural.
edb7e, ˙Karu: The Abigor and Joe thing started in PJJ mostly, there w...oh wait, FIC yea, they were little shits there too, mostly Joe
4af1c, AssBlastr: Usually instigated by Joe Cain. Or Abigor. The twat.
edb7e, ˙Karu: Not to this extend. I think it was when people started going ape shit over the OOC IC ..thing ,in FIC.
edb7e, ˙Karu: There wasnt!
4af1c, AssBlastr: It was all, like, almost 20 years ago. Fuck, we're old...
4af1c, AssBlastr: I don't even remember, man.
edb7e, ˙Karu: Was there ever infighting during the Beseen era?
4af1c, AssBlastr: Dude, if we all just, like, smoked pot together, we'd all get along.
c2b47, Aressa: I still want to know the true reason for why the logs were locked behind admin access. I've only ever gotten some vague, cryptic reasoning from Emily. I can't really see an actual valid reason for it.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: It's an odd kind of reminiscing mixed with reflection in hindsight. I consider it worth exploring, hence piping up at all, but I'm not sure I would fit anymore, at any rate.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: I am still very much detached from this particular crowd... by a good number of years and a different fundamental outlook on roleplaying than when I was involved. So it is a bit of a conundrum where it would be about the people and not the exact kind of game, except I have no idea who those people really are.
c2b47, Aressa: Well, the more active of us moved over to the Mobius chat that Kei created.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: I had off and on considered reconnecting with the crowd, but it occurred to me that for as long as I'd been a part of things, I very rarely actually got to know anyone. And the later infighting sure didn't make that any easier.
d5c02, Sean: Yes it is an evil place.
3dd6e, Odd One Out: The place this is attached to is still a stagnating ball of passive-aggressive resentment, eh?
d8b22, ºBig Boss: Perhaps you are better this way, despite how you were treated. It means that you´re not bound to such a place
c2b47, Aressa: I am honestly not that surprised. They wanted me gone.
d8b22, ºBig Boss: Well, that sucks
c2b47, Aressa: Welp, it appears that someone deleted all of my handles from PMC without me giving the go ahead. That was nice of them. I wasn't really planning on going back, but I guess that just cements it further.
edb7e, ºKaru: :)
42c93, Noname: Karu is very reliable~
edb7e, ºKaru: Thumbs up
edb7e, ºKaru: Ok
edb7e, ºKaru: Ok
edb7e, ºKaru: Ok
edb7e, ºKaru: Ok
edb7e, ºKaru: Ok
edb7e, ºKaru: Test
edb7e, ºKaru: Wap!
edb7e, ºKaru: Wap!
4af1c, AssBlastr: *Jizzes on Karu's tits*
edb7e, ºKaru: o . o
edb7e, ºKaru: o . o
edb7e, ºKaru: o . o
4af1c, AssBlastr: PRRRRRRRRT~!
edb7e, ºKaru: Undo does not exist in this realm
edb7e, ºKaru: /undo
edb7e, ºKaru: Truly outrages
1be9a, Noname: Leave it open all the time!
d8b22, ºBig Boss: Soldiers, by popular demand, logs are open. I had forgotten they were locked. Now you are truly free
1be9a, Karu: Leave it open all the time!
eb6ac, Noname: My only disappointment with this room is the logs being blocked off. I would love to seee what happens here when I'm not watching
1be9a, Karu: Good
1be9a, Karu: Good
1be9a, Karu: It is a mystery
bc9dc, Gowi: So Mr. Noname if you want to admit who you are and deal with your problems like an adult, PM me. Or just keep being you. Doesn't matter to me.
14d0f, Sharklet: groovy
14d0f, Sharklet: as the sun fades
14d0f, Sharklet: as long as they do it in here.
e8b77, Drew: Throwin shade over the glade
bc9dc, Gowi: People going to be mad and try to stir the pot.
14d0f, Sharklet: same yo.
bc9dc, Gowi: I've never been anything but courteous since my return but eh. It's w/e
bc9dc, Gowi: I'm curious who Mr. Noname green font is, but I just find it funny that people throw shade without admitting to who they are.
14d0f, Sharklet: its okay for you to come in here and act like you know somebody when you're really just going off hearsay of others, tho. thats what this room is for.
14d0f, Sharklet: but he's not tho??
e8b77, Drew: Im just dumb
14d0f, Sharklet: Intelligent people often do act entitled.
bc9dc, Gowi: Not entitled, but no argument about the second part. =)
1be9a, Karu: :3 Awsome, dude
cc8d8, Noname: Mike is full of shit and entitled as shit
1be9a, Karu: :3 Awsome, dude
