[Delete] | General Dakkon V. Kael officially took his seat as Supreme Commander of the Empire during a public ceremony today on Bastion, the Imperial Seat. This comes during a sudden shift in Government and Military that saw the retirement of the previous Supreme Commander, Kordon Dadalus, and two Moffs, Qill Vanusha and Baron Dek'lon Cutuu. Earlier this week it was announced that Kael had recieved the honor after the Council of Moffs elected him to the seat during a heated debate over the inability for Dadalus to properly stimulate and maintain the Empire.
Shortly after taking over the position of Supreme Commander, Kael signed several pardons granting amnesty to seventeen New Republic Prisoners and releasing them from Imperial custody after nearly 15 years of imprisonment. Likewise he has instituted a new Military bill where the current Military power of the Empire will be reorganized into five "Super-fleets" lead by five Grand Admirals who have yet to be announced. Likewise he has reopened three Military bases throughout the eleven system Empire and has begun construction of two new mega-plant production facilities.
On the economic side of the spectrum Kael has allowed and open trade offer to the New Republic where in Imperial merchants will be allowed to buy and sell products from and to merchants within the new Republic so long as the New Republic agrees. Likewise with the reopening of three military bases and the construction of two now mega-plant production facilities jobs will likely be flooding the Imperial unemployment market.
During this unbridled changing of the gaurd it remains to be seen if the headstrong Kael will managed to reign in the Empire and lead it to a new strong Future. |
