Good evening. This is New Mokar Newslink reporting on behalf of the Federation News Service.
Earlier today we received confirmed reports that there has been yet another astronomical upheaval at the Route of Ages.
As unbelievable...and illogical as it would appear, the primary lunar body of the desert world of Tatooine has fled it's parent planet.
Evidently some forty eight hours ago the moon in question, Ghomrassen, was enveloped in a high-energy particle field which transformed it's atmospheric, minerological, gravitational and orbital properties into a standard class-M template, while leaving it's relative size intact.
After an initial period of investigation the local Tatooine government, the United System Alliance of Tatooine, invited the starship Explorer to investigate the situation, and presumably, chase down the rogue moon.
The cause of or any meaning behind this violent terraforming activity has yet to be uncovered
Due to the gravitational stress caused by the situation, the normally seismically inert desert world of Tatooine has begun to undergo a series of violent earthquakes. There are also sporadic reports of looting, as well as starships flocking to what is being called "New Loopima," from the Jawaese word for "Star."
Despite the fact that this new stellar body is not a star, but properly classified as a planetoid.
