The war between the Neo-Imperium and the Star Kingdom of Dolmineus came to a close last night when Admiral Yezeal Hallek of the surrendered at roughly 2200 hours to Rear Admiral Zarr Karbn of the Dolminean Navy.
The Dolminean Royal House was also present at the signing ceremony, as represented by the Crown Prince, Tazledorn Dolmineus.
The Dolmineans, as they're known, began their assault last month, quickly taking the Imperium's agricultural world, shortly after the planet had been attacked in a crossfire between the Peacekeepers, the Scarran Empire, and an unknown race of supposedly synthetic creatures. The Dolminean forces reportedly conquered the planet and drove off the other invaders, and then launched an assault on the capital planet, where they also encountered resistance from the Wraith. It appears that, in leu of a further counterattack, the Neo-Imperium has surrendered and joined the Dolminean Star Kingdom.
Commodore Ariel Panthrakahs, the de-facto dictator of the Neo-Imperium, who began assaults on Federation boarders earlier in the year, has been reported as missing in action during the brief, but heavy fighting.
The Dolmineans have not released a statement regarding their motivations for this unexpected move, but they have allowed FNS reporters onto the Capital planet. Be on the lookout for a full report later in the month. |
