Radio SSM Rak 10:48pm, September 29, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | *a loud whine is heard*
DJ B: Are we on? Is it working? Oh... Hello! This is DJ Bonezer of the New Gorn Republic, on the air here with DJ Twist-A-Licious of the Sluagh Underfolk.
DJ T: Indeed... we are testing our new interstellar communications array here on Starbase Rak. We are in orbit of Rak 2 and man is it hot. The sun is killing us!
DJ B: That's not the sun, that's the space station...
DJ T: ....
DJ B: In any case, our news bulletin is that the Gorn Republic back in the Beta Quadrant of our Galaxy has finally reached us through experimental Subspace technology, but cannot send supplies and we cannot return. Starfleet and the Federation was unable, or unwilling, to comment.
DJ T: In other news, the Sluagh Underfolk have built onto thier space station and some analysists predict a new military surge. There may be a new class of warship on the way, or simply more ships, but whatever happens it will be an improvement.
DJ B: But hey, now it's time for some callers... Caller number one?
Caller: I'm... so....wasted...
DJ T: Uhhh.... why'd you give us this one first?
Stage Manager: Because he's the least wasted.
DJ B: Oh dear lord... Well, it appears that's all we have time for... but before we
leave, here's some music!
*The sounds of DARC-KREEP, a new Gorn/Sluagh Industrial Metal Band, is played* |

Radio SSM Rak 1:28am, September 30, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | DJ B: We just found out about the Slessh incident here at Rak Station.
DJ T: Despite the valiant efforts of CGSA ships to stop the GRS Oblivion and her captain, they took too many lives before being stopped by Captain Marrow Bones himself.
DJ B: We understand, too, that every Gorn shall now slit his wrists before bed in memory by now-elevated Honorable Warrior Pshad. High Priest Sl'lokss has written it into New Gornniska's Imperative Text that it will be so. I, personally, will honor the tradition every night.
DJ T: The Sluagh weep tears of blood for those lost, and all recreation on Stygia has ceased until further notice. We now leave you with this song, in memory of those lost.
*The DARC-KREEP Song "I'd Kill To Stop The Killing" is played (Number three on the Rak Sector Music Charts)* |
