With the Resignation of Omega Kiyoshi, I will once again fill his place as I have done during his leave of absences in the past. However this will be a permanent change, and I believe stresses the need to finish our government. we need to ensure our clear lines of succession and prepare the way for a true election. however for this election we also need to define clearly our branches and rules of government. This can be tricky on a planet like Tatooine where many are trying to get away from governments, either oppressive or otherwise but I belive we can build one that benefits us all. One that will protect and promote our citizens while giving them the freedoms they desire, short of total anarchy. I believe we need a clear line of separation between executive and legislative, but whatever path we choose will be defined in the coming months, and we can move from an intern government to a true one, ready to stand with our friends and allies around us.

Second is the growth of Tatooine as a planet. credits make the universe, and for many years Tatooine has lacked any resources to truly make itself capable of supporting itself. Omegas focus on resources was helped by a procedure that helped to finally make Tatooines ores no longer brittle, but Tatooines natural resources are still buried under sand, or require long process times, in a galaxy were many other planets offer these resources I belive it is ultimatly a hard position to compete. Instead I belive we should look to the one card we have that noone else can claim The Route of Ages.

Through the Route we could set up trade lines. Imagine freighters of goods coming in from other worlds on the other side. they would have to pass through the Tatoo system on their way into the galaxy, making us a focal point for commerce. Trade could become Tatooines key to pulling itself out of the poor and wallowing backwater world it is. while I would never stop any of the projects the Director has started, I belive trade is ultimately a proper and better direction for our future.

I ask for everyones help and patience in the next few months, only through cooperation and unity will we be able to see these plans come to life.

*Me being an OOC technicalities poker.* Omega has also tried to establish Tatooine as a Banking world where 1 dollar still equals 1 dollar. No matter where your from. So everyone's money is worth something.... >.> <.<

And once again, we turn to The Outsiders for help. Once again we throw ourselves at the mercy of Extradimensionals. Once more we let the Alienists of the New Republic dictate our activities.

Has not the Council begun harvesting of our Oort cloud?

Has it not gone smoothly?

Have not the yields of organic ices allowed for the industrial processes, setup by legislation by the council, to issue forth polymers for manufacturing of native goods?

We, the Council of Tatooine, comprised of those born and owing our survival to this planet, have made effort to become self-sufficient. We have begun the harvesting of the outer system's bounty. It is too slow, say the detractors and destabilizers, we must send our wealth elsewhere and become vassal to the whims of Foreigners. How long must we see ourselves at the mercy of the non-native? How long until we are simply handed back to the Hutts, 'the great dream of The Ghost' abandoned because it seems to hard?

No, the answer is not the source of our instability. The answer does not lay within the hands of those who live and govern over distances that light takes centuries to travel. The answer is here, in the hands of the people, the strength of the United Systems Alliance of Tatooine Militia, the Citizenry of Tatooine who work to build a future for their children and descendants, to the slaves, fugitives and immigrants who see Tatooine as a new start, a place to build stronger with their sweat and toil.

I say to you, Citizens of Tatooine, voice your disfavor for the discarding of our Home's wealth through that infernal vortex and say that you will build Tatooine stronger.

Congratulations Tatooine, a new day has arrived. A day where Tatooine is led by its native sons. No extra-stellar interests taking your resources and stripping the soul from your people. I wish you well and pledge my support to your grand destiny. Soon we will remove the taint of foreign control from the tri-city alliance and hand them over to USAT, for a complete Tatooine.

The Tri-city alliance watches with great trepidation as the USAT government shifts and continue to offer support to our brothers and sisters of Tatooine. However, the Tri-city alliance remains true to their charter and the false Tragolite Empire has no claims or control of the City-states of the Tri-city alliance.

How about all the factions interfering with this planet join in some good old fashion fun? Play a game even... Why don't you all play hide and go fuck yourselves? Turn control back over to the Hutts. We had more freedom under the gangsters. USAT, Tragolites, Tri-City Alliance can all rot.

... That's the kind of stuff that won't happen under my watch.

Also, Frank gets to spend 24 hours in the time out dungeon for being so rude.

No. It doesn't. It has very itchy straw beds and no showers.

Citizens of Tatooine, it is only fair I introduce myself, my name is Tourn Veilote, born in Mos Espa and I am running as a candidate for Prime Minister.

I began my life born to hard working parents who tried to give me the best they could, they provided me clothing, food, and education. All of this ended when, reutrning home from a performance I was part of, they were both gunned down by a Aqualish street thug. I found myself orphaned, with no one to turn to, I also gained a fierce mistrust of all non humans. I wasn't orphaned for long, because I found companionship in an Imperial Youth organization. They provided me kindness, a place to live, warm food. I felt home again and I was an impressionable youth. Of course, my time in the youth club led to my enlistment into the Imperial Army, I felt empowered and felt like I belonged. My time in the army was different than what some might think, we were ground troops, engaging rebel forces when ordered. I was blind to the true practices of the Empire, their hate, oppression, their tyranny.

My eyes were finally opened when shortly after the battle of Yavin we were captured by an elite team of rebel commando's, all non humans, which was the first blow to my beliefs. "How could non humans defeat us? We are superior?" we expected execution after torture, but it never came. the stormtroopers under my command, along with myself attempted several escapes, in line with an officers code, we were captured again and again, never receiving punishment more severe than warranted. Finally our moods changed and we came to know our captors as more than faceless aliens. There was Commander Preets, a Bothan. Lieutenant Kre'sssk a Mon Calamari. These men were not the monsters I had been told they were, they were not my enemy. Once we were faced with these facts, and shown the true side of the Empire, their crimes, we renounced our past.

When the war ended, I assisted Republic agents in hunting down and arresting escaped Imperial war criminals before finally hearing of an Imperial Remnant group led by Royal members of a cluster in the galactic rim. They had banded into a defensive force to protect their home against enemies who wished the people of their sector harm. The Moffs had all abandoned the Galactic Empire once it became clear what the Emperor had intended, an oppressive superior civilization led only by humanity. I joined the Imperial Royals and commanded the 21st Defensive regiment, a group of mixed species which was tasked with defensive battle and protecting Treklin, the IR homeworld.

things were good until the Tragolite Civil war broke out, the True Tragolite Empire invaded the P'rek cluster with the help of the mysterious Capsuleers with the intent of wiping our Confederation out and denying an ally to their enemies. We were overwhelmed and as I watched my new home burn I held my post with my brothers and sisters as we secured the spaceport through wave of wave of bombardment and assualt, until the last group of survivors had evacuated.

I returned home to Tatooine, my native home, a place I've feared for years, to make peace. what I saw was frightening, factions; good and bad. fighting for control, the only glimmer of hope remains the fledgling government attempting to rise above the sand. I was even more horrified by a simmering wave of human-first voices. I've decided to throw my hat in, as a leader to quell such voices, to unify my people, to make Tatooine a place we can proudly call our home.
