[Delete] | Hey, some of you guys might know about this, some might not but there is a pretty nifty program out there today called Skype.
Now whats so nifty about this program you might ask? Well first off it is a text chat, video chat and voice chat program which is sleak and easier to use then the MSN, AOL or Yahoo voice/video chats. The only side effect or unfortunate draw back is that the actual text chat option isn't terribly amazing being that it is more of a dedicated voice/video chat program. However Here is the kicker.
Until the end of the year it is offering FREE calling to anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. Thats right, you can use Scype to call anywhere in the U.S. or Canada until the end of the year so for those of you out there who have very little pocket money to make long distance calls, this program will let you do it so long as you have speakers and a mic.
So for those of you who do not have speakers on a mic.. so long as you've got a phone, well, hell thats all you need really, well and a willingness to give out your phone number. But still, even if your using it to call your parents, a friend on the other side of the country or just a way to not have to pay your phone bill, its a pretty nifty little program. However I recommend you give the site a better read over for the exact details.
Sound quality relies completely on your mic settings and speakers. I've heard it be really crisp on my Skype and really crappy depending. Phone Modems also tend to lag alittle, but other then that so far I've not be upset with the program. But I suppose I should list it for you now that you've been bored to tears.

[Delete] | I just got Skype preloaded on the U3 program that comes preinstalled on the 1g Sandisk Flash Drive I just bought.
I was totally going to delete it though, its retarded. And you can get three times the quality if you just go thru Vonage. |
