IHNN 10:47pm, April 10, 2006 [Edit] [Delete] | Breaking Story!
The Supreme Commander of the Empire, Dakkon V. Kael, was killed today, along with his grand daughter, while on vacation on Tatooine. While working with NR police, video footage of an attack on Senator Sapien appears to have been the work of the known Terrorist organization The Society of Tatooine.
The strikes occured almost concurrently as it is believed someone feigning the appearance of the Supreme Commander's grand daughter was seen attempting to attack the Senator. During the course of the fight Agents of the Society were killed for both assault and trespassing by private security forces. One droid was killed during the attack.
However the strike on the Supreme Commander was far more effective, destroying his home and several other buildings in the area. The Supreme Commander and his grand daughter were discovered in the rubble and their bodies are being transported to Bastion. The Society of Tatooine released a statement taking claim for the attack as well as the failed attack on the Senator. For now it can only be assumed that the Society were attempting to strike at the two organizations that had expressed the most interest in assisting Tatooine, their own "Isolationist" views having caused several attacks in the recent months.
With the death of Dakkon V. Kael, Moff Felinx has been handed the riegns of power until she is either elected as the new Supreme Commander or a new Supreme Commander is elected to the position.
