Luke Skywalker 12:44am, January 20, 2011 [Edit] [Delete] | Grand Master- Luke Skywalker
Master Council - The Master council is the overseeing council of Jedi Masters, two from each of the three main planets the order occupies and Grand Master Skywalker. they meet once every two months. Mostly they are to keep the order functioning together rather than becoming three separate orders, and only on rare occasions do matters become of great enough concern that they must rule on issues
Master Council - Luke Skywalker, Cilghal, Kenth Hamner, Kam Solusar, Tionne Solusar, Ikrit, Aqinos
Coruscant - The rebuilt Jedi temple on Coruscant has become a sort of political center for the Jedi Order, as well as healing and some training. most Jedi seem to prefer the isolation provided by Yavin or even Dantooine, but the temple on Coruscant offers some unique and necessary advantages of its own. Most of the Jedi's youngling population (children under 8) can be found here, as well as some of the greatest healers in the order, Cilghal herself trains the orders legion of healers here.
Coruscant Council - Cighal, Kenth Hamner, Corran Horn,
Yavin - The Jedi Praxium of Yavin was the new orders original home, established by Grand Master Skywalker 11 years after the battle there. It is still considered the core of the order, and almost every Jedi spends at least a little time on the planet when they can. Yavin is the primary training grounds for the Jedi order, and offers most of the advanced courses the Order can offer.
Yavin Council - Kam Solusar, Tionne Solusar, Streen, Saba Sebatyne
Dantooine - The Jedi presence on Dantooine is small, mostly historical and archeological minded members come here to explore the ruins of the ancient enclave that once existed here. its also unique in its four Council members were all part of the Old Jedi order at one point from masters Ikrit and Aqinos who were great aids in the Orders growing days, to the recently found survivors T'ra Saa and K'Kruhk.
Dantooine Council - Ikrit, Aqinos, T'ra Saa, K'Kruhk
Olympus Four Representatives - As of yet the application for the Jedi Order to have observers within the Olympus Four council has not been approved and no one has been assigned to the position as of yet
Other Locations - Coruscant, Yavin and Dantooine might be considered the Orders "official" locations and centers, but the order still has small clusters in other important parts of the galaxy including Ossus, where the great library once stood, and even Tatooine, where the Jedi Order operates a small center in the lotus garden, and Jedi Master James Aries moisture farm.
Ranking
Rank within the Jedi Order are both as rigid as military organization and at the same time fluid and loose. there are Five ranks, with the Apprentices rank containing a number of sub ranks
Apprentice - Any trainee that hasn't been taken as a padawan by a Jedi Master.
Youngling - Sub rank for children under 10
Initiate - Sub rank children 10-13
Adept - Sub rank children 14-16
Padwan - Any Trainee who has been selected for individual training by a Jedi master, akin to the Old Orders padawanship, there is no limit to the number of Padawans a master may take under the New Jedi Order
Knight - When the Master feels there is no more training can do to prepare the student, they are made a Knight. though a knight is considered to be no longer a student, a true knight realizes he is just on the beginning of his path, and uses his freedom to further define his skills and to hone his abilities.
Master - With both training and experience under his belt, a Jedi is truly finally ready to be considered complete with his training. however most Jedi masters will scoff at this idea, stating there is always something new to be learned, and the wisest of the order will continue to expand their horizons.
Grand Jedi Master - Activated my Master Luke Skywalker only when he realized the order was not quite ready for him to step completely away from the leadership position. the role is not fully developed or understood in the order, as Master Skywalker has complete authority over any other person, yet often refuses to excercize the option unless absolutely necessary |
