I would not change a thing in my life and career, I had the honor of working with the most dedicated and talented commanders and crew, and our purpose was just, our desire for freedom strong, but a time still comes when one must face their past, and it is now that I feel it is time I gave up my position within the Republic fleet" Theres a pause as Ackbar collects his thoughts.
"I will be stepping down at the end of this year, and rather than retire I see more of this as a change in career. I hope to become a builder, aid in the healing of the wounds our wars have caused. maybe ill have a chance to visit our allies, and see their worlds, before settling down on my homeworld, and ending my days where I always felt I should be." |
