Silent Nyght 9:40pm, August 28, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | *The nightly news is suddenly cut off, replacing the newscasters face with a dark-skinned male´s one of his eyes has been replaced with a small device, he is wearing a grey beret and he is smoking a cigar*Citizens of Tatoonie. I am Commander Chadrock Fith. I am the leader of a group of citizens who are concerened with all of the factions fighting over our dear planet. From this point on we will not allow them to build bases on our planet*Slams his fist onto a table* we will no longer allow them to garrison their troops in our streets, their corporations and businesses will be pushed out. We will fight them to the end, we will push them back to the black sea from whence they came. We will no longer sit back and allow them access to our planet and its people. this is our message to you and to the invaders of your planet. That is all. *The transmission is cut ,replaced by the newcaster who looks puzzled and comments on the situation. *

| Really, is that a fact? |
Lyrandian Argonon 10:06pm, August 28, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | Looks like someone finally got fed up with faction and corporation presence on this planet. I´d just like to point out that while the presence of factions and Corporations may seem undesirable now, they certainly are better than one likely alternative. The presence of the corporations brought new life and strength to this planet´s dying economy. They stimulate economic growth, and provide hundreds of jobs for the citizens of this planet. Granted, most engage in questionable activites, but lets face it-thats how things are, have been, and probably will be for a while. Before their arrival, this planet was a little more than a backwater speck. We´re starting to get recogniton from other systems, and gallactically recognized factions. "What about the militant factions?" you might say. Well, when´s the last time your group repelled an orbital bombing attack? How about supressing the invading armies of the Imperials, or any other such force? If you oust the factions we have now, they will only be replaced with others, yours-perhaps. How long do you truly think you can uphold your current values and ideals, if you are in command-with all of the pressure from other factions, and companies upon you? Maybe you´ll be replaced, maybe you´ll be replaced by a faction who makes things worse than they are now. Maybe not, who truly knows? They´ve really cleaned up this town, they´ve driven most of the criminals out, or into hiding. How about all those attacks from the Demons and hoards of undead? Somehow, I don´t think our current defense of drunks is always going to be there. What happens when they´re gone? Something to think about.... |

Gregeory Reikson 11:47pm, August 28, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | As Mr. Argonon said, the corporations and defense forces are a necessary part of life in Mos Eisley. As you seem to be a newcomer, I will ask you to research the past. In the days between the fall of the Tragolite Federation and the creation of Ion Storm, there was utter chaos. Cities were constantly under attack and the civilian population was taking massive casualties. Ion Storm was then formed, taking only the best of those willing to defend their cities. Along with the Mos Eisley Police Department and Shinra, we rebuilt our city and brought stability. Without our forces, life would be drastically different. Every day would be a fight for survival... without reinforcements. Your little force will in no way help Mos Eisley or Tatooine. Willingly or not, you wish to tear down what we have built, you will destroy the relative peace we have. Ion Storm will not allow it. Also, any attack against Mos Eisley Police Department, Shinra or even the Federation, on Tatooine or in our space will be considered an attack on Ion Storm and will be met with fierce resistance. |

Silent Nyght 12:58am, August 29, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | The citizens of Mos Endar are behind us ,Eisley. We hope you will be too. As for Mr´s Gregeory Reikson and Lyrandian Argonon you are obviously against the Peoples faction. We will ponder your fates. In the meantime, enjoy the opression. |
| Be mindful of what your actions may do... |
Lyrandian Argonon 2:13am, August 29, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | While you´re pondering my fate, keep in mind that my family will not take kindly to you attacking my person, nor will my employer, if that´s the action you choose to undertake. Neither group is one you wish to have as your enemy, You´ve already made my employer an enemy, you´d do well to keep my family neutral. The majority of the people have been supportive of the various factions and corporations, from what I´ve seen in my years on this planet. If you alienate them to furthur a set of goals, that they may not like, aren´t you doing just as much damage yourself, as you claim the factions and corporations to be doing to the people?

Gregeory Reikson 2:14am, August 29, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | The choice belongs to the people of Mos Eisley, we will support it. Through good times and bad, that´s what we are... Citizens of Mos Eisley. As a citizen of this great city, my opinion is this: You are nothing more than a power hungry leader, looking to destablize Mos Eisley to gain power. You are no better than the Sylent Hunters or the Blood Corps. |

Silent Nyght 2:31am, August 29, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | We do not want power, we want to destabilize the corrupt powers that hold this planet hostage. We do not care to hold the reigns of control, only to cast them off. |
| Citizens of Tatooine and Mos Eisly |
James Aries 5:48am, August 29, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | You do not have the support you claim Silent Nyght, you are no better than others who talk the same way you do, they do not bring good times, only violence and more death. The factions bring a measure of stability, and corporations do provide jobs and resources this planet would be denied otherwise. True there is corruption but there is corruption in all factions and corporations. To try to drive off the factions that have offered degrees of protection over the year is a folly, without them we would probly be back under the hutts. The key to having this planet be independent of the factions control would be to create a government, one that instead of driving off the factions will work with the factions, allowing them to keep their bases on the planet in return for a little protection from more corrupt and defenatly more evil groups. Unfortuantly I dont see this government happening, for noone is working that way, everyone sees violence and terrorism as an answer. No matter what you call yourself you are a terrorist, you hurt Tatooine more than you claim to be helping it. If you wish to help Tatooine, then find peacful ways of lessening the control of the factions, not violence, for violence is never an answer. |

| Really? |
Lucen Bigio 7:15pm, August 29, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | So your for the people, yet you want to send them back to an age of murder and bloodshed? An age of primitive technology? An age where the survival rate was even lower then it is now? So be it. Just be warned that any action against us will result in swift retaliation. |
| Your not quite what we´re looking for? |
Flying Green Squirrel 7:20pm, August 29, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | Being one of the many voices OF the people in Mos Esiely, I have to say that your plan is no better then the system we have right now. All it will result in is the same repeated wars, the only difference being a new cast. Instead of trying to change the political situation in peaceful, diplomatic ways, you come in and take power like a tyrant. Your no better then the Old Tragolite Federation, The Desert Nomads from the ancient wars, or the Strife Empire. You make a statement saying your for the people and use your every action to cause them pain. We want a better system, not the same exact thing. |

Silent Nyght 8:53pm, August 29, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | We wish for Tatoonie to be governed by a democratically elected republic that will deal with issues on the planet itself. A new constitution will be written , by the people and be enforced by this new govt. As we said before. We are not in this for the power, Were in it for the freedom, and free we will become. As for anyone calling us terrorists; you are mistaking us for rebels such as the Sylent hunters. We are not terrorists, we are revolutionaries, and we´d be more than happy to see this new govt be put into effect peacefully, without bloodshed. |
| yer not the Sylent Hunters...? |
Other Idiot Citizen 9:00pm, August 29, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | but ya both gotcha the nifty ´y´ thingy in the words and yer both reeeaal quiet.... |

Gregeory Reikson 1:19am, August 30, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | Ion Storm fully supports the idea of an elected governemnt, though it does not wish to form that government from the ashes of Mos Eisley. We once again extend an invitation for a meeting between all groups and organizations in an effort to achieve this goal. |
| Ion Storm |
James Aries 4:11am, August 30, 2002 [Edit] [Delete] | Ion Storm while the Jedi may not be an organized group on tatooine, we are trying, and I, possibly more of the Jedi, would like to work with you on designing and building a government. I would like to encurage all factions and people to get involved, this could be a grand chance for Tatooine. |
