Scott 12:49am, December 21, 2004 [Edit] [Delete] | Everyone mind this very important thought. Yell your difference choices now, BUT, for most intents and purposes for those who matter, we're going to pretend the vschat never happened.
Here's what's going to happen.
We're going to pretend all story lines follow their normal(book cannon story line stuff) up untill this point. For StarWars this means a point After Thrawn and the Second Emperor, but before the vong.(They don't like the idea of the vong, I'm not gonna argue*shrugs*)
Sorry this post seems rambled out but I don't really have any hard core details about how it goes. But this works for the basic enviroment and allows everyone to fill in from there.
Welcome to the Maw? er..Jan. 1st = Restart date. |

Impersonating FALCON X-0N 12:59am, December 21, 2004 [Edit] [Delete] | For Star Trek, I'm planning on it being Jan. 1st, 2382. That makes it more or less two years after Nemesis, which happened (presumably) in November/December 2379. As far as I know, no one else RPing Trek factions should have a problem with that.
Here's how I see the franchise stuff working...there's a Nexus point about 0.004 light years away from Tatooine, or maybe even just at the edge of the tatoo system (somebody do the math?). There, exists your wormhole of choice to your galaxy of your franchise of choice. Each 'franchise' would get it's own galaxy, it's own Earth. perfectly plausable due to parallel evolution and shit like that.
Certain 'universal' elements would be, of couse, universal. The Force, and Magic, and whatnot exists throughout all galaxies, but for whatever X reason, people in Trek Galaxy cannae use The Force. I'm still saying Trekkie Earth is devoid of magic and demons hidden in the ocean, for obvious reasons, but still going with the tenant that magic exists in the Trek Galaxy (we've seen it) it's just called "superscience" and is often done by beings like Q or that crazy thing that possessed Scotty that one time.

Gorny OOC 5:22am, December 21, 2004 [Edit] [Delete] | Well the Trek Universe reset point is actually AFTER my original presumed point. I assume the temporal rift is secluded to the SW Galaxy then. That means the Gorn will have made different technological, political, and medical discoveries. Which means I gotta rethink all my shit.
Falk.
Well I figure it this way: When the rift expands and collides with the physical structures of the Gorn, the time dialation will reset the Star Trek/Milky Way Galaxy, or at least thier portion. But at the same moment in time they will still exist in the Star Wars galaxy. According to Newtonian Physics, the same matter cannot exist in two places at the same time, and therefore must "choose" a place to exist. I figure since the SW Version will exist moreso in subspace than realspace due to the displacement, the Star Trek/Milky Way versions will replace the Star Wars versions.
*phew*
That's a mindfull. |

Anonymous 8:23am, December 21, 2004 [Edit] [Delete] | the reset is a temporal fold, not a shockwave...we're only going back in time as a starting point. The whole freakin' universe itself should be born again...like in Zero Hour |

Gorny OOC 2:07am, December 22, 2004 [Edit] [Delete] | Ah, alright. I was under a different impression.
Well then I'll just come up with something else. |
