[Delete] | In a stunning turn of events Sunday, it would appear that the planet of Tatooine is under siege by mythical dragons. The massive creatures, which appear to range in size from six to forty meters long, appeared out of a type of interdimensional rift early Sunday afternoon and without provocation began to attack the city of Mos Eisley. Local defense forces, the system-wide USAT, and several civilian and mercenary bands worked together to stave off the onslaught, but damage to the city has been immesurable.
While the origin or purpose of these attacks is unclear, it appears that these alien creatures offered no attempt at communication and began attacking the settlement. Much like the mythical creatures, these dragons appeared to have been capable of breathing fire and, in some reports, ice.
The United Federation of Planets has ordered the U.S.S. Explorer to return to the Tatoo system to provide any aide Starfleet can offer to the people of Mos Eisley. In an ironic turn of events, the Explorer had left the Tatoo system not but an hour before the attack broke out to answer a distress call from the Gand colony world Yiiirlarn, which was under siege by the Goa'uld System Lords.
