Radio SSM Rak 6:25pm, October 26, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | DJ B: This DJ Bonezers of the Gorn Republic here with my bro DJ Twist-A-Liscous of the Sluagh Underfolk Empire and my girl DJ Angel of the Dread Conglomerate.
DJ T: This has been a hell of a month. Spider Records and Cavern Studios, Stygia's most prominent indie record labels were bought by the CGSA's Record Label, RAK RECORDS.
DJ A: Commander Ace Kaelton has been like, away for sooo long and the government officials won't tell us where. We tried to send reporters to some ships, but they wouldn't let them on to interview the Lieutenant-Commanders.
DJ T: The CGSA has made first contact with a hostile alien race, mimicing the Gorn in physiology and technology, but they are not Gorn. The Sluagh Underfolk Empire is developing weapons to use against these creatures, raising issues with the Gorn Embassy, seeing as it could undoubtedly be used against the Gorn as well.
DJ B: In the first conflict with these aliens, Captain and Commander In Chief Pshad went into the line of fire to protect Anchorhead, a Tattooine city. In the conflict he suffered major burns and lost his left hand, which the preists say will be healed in a few days. Pshad was the only survivor of the Iron Claw's IK-50 Mech Squadron.
DJ A: So... a buncha Gorn died to save some humans?
DJ T: Indeed, and relations with non-CGSA Humans continue to be in a state of non-existance. The Sluagh have saved the Tattoo sector as well, but no one acknowledges it. It would seem that Tattooine is ungrateful for our efforts of friendship and sacrifice.
DJ B: And because of this the Gorn Republic in the Beta Quadrant of the home galaxy have disowned the Gorn Republic here. Communications have been cut and each is changing thier constitution.
DJ A: How come we never hear of Sluagh politics, Twisty?
DJ T: We do not speak of our internal affairs. It is not a matter of trust, but security.
DJ A: Ah.... okay.... |

A Few Different Guys 7:16pm, October 26, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | Starfleet Rep: Could we just point out that the fact Starfleet doesn't have much of a dialog with the GCSA has nothing to do with the political climate on Tatooine, and is quite an oddity, considering we still engage in a bevy of political and economical exchanges with the Dread Conglomerate.

Random Tatooine Dude:Uh...so you burned your hand. You also totalled our fucking city. You have to earn our trust- -might want to start with who you're fighting a private little war with. Fake Gorn? On Tatooine Soil? |

Random Citizen 11:31pm, October 26, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | Okay, so I can't think of a topic. But I think it stinks that we get all this political bs backlash from Gorn, but when we try to broadcast to them, we get b***ched at, especially when it's somethin they don't wanna hear. Their dolphin headed crew are allowed to attack our women, when all the women have to defend themselves is bad breath. And then they insult our humanly womanhood and claim we're not women... and I'm so going totally off topic aren't I? Erm... All I'm sayin is, why can they post stuff we don't wanna hear, when we can't post stuff they don't wanna hear. That's it, thank you, bye bye. |
| I vote thee nay! |
Random Tatooinian 11:32pm, October 26, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | Sure, their music kind of blows, but since when did we care what was on the airwaves? I mean, hell, we don't really mind when Radio Free Mars comes on and Crusades Against Everyone, Everywhere, That Ever Existed. So why should we care when they whine about how we don't love the Gorn?
Besides, didn't they say that refusing to listen to them would be a violation of "the Truth" and therefore we'd be Liars, untrustworthy, and therefore covered under "weak" and then they'd have to, by Gorn Law, atomize the crust of the planet.
So we, y'know, really don't have a choice. |

Another Random Guy 11:38pm, October 26, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | I like the music! |

Gorn Republic Public Relations Association 2:20am, October 27, 2003 [Edit] [Delete] | Dear friends in the galaxy, I send you this transmission due to complaints of Radio SSM Rak's news broadcasts and of the Gorn presence in the Tattoo sector.
Here at the newly-formed GRPRA, we will answer your questions. The Gorn laws have nothing against your transmissions into our space, but Gorn despise a lie in any form. It took us years to understand the concept of acting in a theatre context. So when a broadcast is a blatant lie, we tend to get carried away.
As for the woman, we have done medical analysis on her. She has an alien being in her body, near the base of the neck in the human Medula Oblongata, that has connected itself to her entire brain. We are trying to figure out how to bring her out of her coma, which our scans show was induced by the alien being, but we are having no luck. On the next shuttle in from Conglomerate space will be human doctors and xeneologists who will help us with the effort. The human woman is safe for now, and we are doing all we can, but scans show that removing the alien without care could result in the human's death.
Anyone requesting files on Gorn law or who would wish to visit and maybe identify this woman can reply to this location or come to Space Station Rak, in the Rak sector. Tourists, merchants, and visitors are always welcome. |
